So...Python is my new best friend along with Calibre. Please forgive the rant...I needed to vent. I'm better now...really, I am...can you take this coat off of me...it seems the sleeves are missing....

Nice take on DRM but the way some around here rant about Amazon it is so ironic to see the real issues of their precious DRM epub files thanks to their connection with Adobe a company that could care less about customer satisfaction. They never have and never will. Adobe is no different today than 25 years ago, arrogant and on par with Apple in this regard.

I have been on an "Adobe boycott" for several years. Their programs are unnecessarily big, use too much processor power and generally stink. So it's a great annoyance to have to have an Adobe ID. I don't use ADE, but even if I let Reader Library handle my DRM infected files I need the ID, and it bugs the **** out of me! So I hear you people!

I have a Kindle, so many of the books I buy have DRM. For as long as it takes to clean them, which is a few seconds.

I would certainly prefer that they not have DRM, but I don't make a big deal about it, I just remove it. I buy books (or borrow from local library) based on the author and the quality of the book, not the DRM or not. But I also make sure that what I buy, I can use any where, any time.
