The inquiry? I was just slightly surprised by the large average file size of books, as in my experience in epub format even books >500 pages rarely exceed 1mb unless there are a lot of footnotes graphics etc.
Anyway, the new generation of readers does have some significant advantages: better displays, more storage space, better handling of PDFs, even better battery life, less weight.
The 650 does have the advantage of expandable memory. Otherwise I would probably prefer the 350 for its beautifully compact size. Costs less as well.

I just checked on my PRS-350:
  • storage size: 1.494 GB
  • available storage: 1.330 GB
  • stored books: 220
  • size of books stored: between 0.5 MB and 5 MB

I like longer books (printpages in paperback between 1000 and 3000 p) and have right now 220 of this kind stored on my PRS-350 using 0.164 GB and still 1.330 GB left for storage.

When I made up my mind which one to buy, a 650 or a 350 I went for the smaller divice because I saw no need to have more than the advertised 1200 books on board. Now it seems that I can store even more than said by Sony...
