Last Christmas we got ourselves a Kindle 2 and both being retired now often found ourselves wanting to use it at the same time. So this year we got a 2nd Kindle, the graphite K3 WiFi with the lighted case (Black). The wife actually likes the K2 for its size and particularly the size of the page forward and back buttons so the new one is mine. I have already updated the firmware and have seen no rebooting or freezing issues since we opened our gifts last night and I have already been reading with it for several hours off and on.

After teasing me mercilessly about all the things a Kindle can't do compared to an Android reader or even a pbook - My husband borrowed it when we were out at Christmas dinner and read it for hours!

Granted - I did load Sh*t My Dad Says just so he would find something to enjoy if he picked my kindle up!
He surprised me by starting on Hawking's A Brief History of Time though! Nice to think we can still surprise each other after 12 years.

Mrs. Clause gave me one! I just unwrapped it this morning and I love it. I gave her one for her birthday a few months ago so we're officially a 2K3 family now.

Now I have tons of reading to catch up on. I'd love to stay on here and chat about it more but it's cutting into my reading time.

Thanks Sweetheart. You're the best!

It quickly becomes addictive! I'd certainly be happy collecting some more. Reading is only half the fun.

I gave my wife a wifi one (after she continued to steal my K3) and she has been loving it. Within the past six months we have went from being an e-readerless household to a two e-reader household.

With some of the recent book sales I snagged some Junie B. Jones and Boxcar Children. This morning I sat my six-year old daughter down with my Kindle and gave them a test run. She is just starting on chapter books so I wondered if they would be a challenge for her... an hour and a half later she is still silently reading the books.

I foresee us becoming a three Kindle household within the next year or so.

it is the 26th and my wife will be home soon from her parents (she left on the 23rd), I bought her a Kindle Wi-Fi for Christmas and it sits under the tree we wil open our presents soon (in about 2 hours) then we will see her reaction,

She is an avid reader so I hope it goes over well

BTW she is NOT an electro geek in any way
heck she just recently learned to use my universal remote, and it is only programed to 1 device only...lol

I had initially bought one for my grandmother because I knew she really wanted one, what I didnt know was my mom had gotten me one also.

Still kind of dont know what the heck im doing but im sure ill become very familiar with it over the next day or so.
Put a book on there last night and its much better than holding my ipod 3 inches from my face.

I received K3 and the lighted cover for Christmas to replace the one lost/stolen but as you see from the list of my devices I've been a kindler for a long time.

Gave my K2 to my brother with a whole lot of books on it for Christmas. He seemed to like the idea when he opened it, although he didn't wake it up while I was there. He's not a big reader, so I'm not sure if he will use it. We usually give each other books for Christmas. Also gave him a brand new Mighty Bright Flex2 booklight and a big package of AAA batteries for it.

You won't see him on these boards, so I thought I'd chime in myself.
