Do you read manga on your PRS-505 ever? Do you find the iPad better to read from? I'm just curious, as I read manga on my 505, and I love reading off of e-ink but I wouldn't mind a larger screen.

I own an Archos 7 home tablet (android based) and use an app called ACV. Does a great job for me in reading my comics and graphic novels. I can choose to zoom and scroll or have it fit to width or height, very readable and user friendly IMHO.

Hmmmm, if it is android based, it might work on a rooted Nook Color.

its main use as a table of data from my old Tintin, Asterix, Lucas and Luke, Spirou collections. Mainly be used for ordinary novels go, but be nice to have something to hold all collections in one place.

As for the ipad, first, I'm not a mac fan, I use windows at work and at home and I don't see it changing in the future... so, now: Manga in the ipad is awesome and (with Cloudreaders) works like a charm. I guess this is the closest (or farther) you can get to/from a tankoubon. Resolution is obviously better than the printed version (due to editors cleaning the scans) and the page transition is super fast. And the size is perfect and you can download directly to it and transfer to your computer afterwards. For me... the way to go. |

![]() Thanks! I've been looking for a larger device for PDFs, manga and comics. I'm still undecided as for what to get. The iPad looks great, but it's out of my price range right now. Perhaps I'll wait on it. |
