But thats my whole point! I dont bathe because I get bored in the bath........so mix it in with a good book, and its a great time. But I got bored of wetting books, as careful as I was they always ended with wet pages, wich dried looked like lettuce. And given my favorite books already look like old lettuce, I don't want to speed up the process. So I got bored of baths as well XD. I think I'll try the aquapac. Anyone else used it with touch? so far we have 1 unuseable and 1 useable in this thread

PS I got my 650! Soooo very happy. I already attached the cover, It looks like a small agenda so it keeps nasty eyes from looking at the toy and getting ideas about forced ownership change Also, I love the little light. So cute and functional. I have a bedside lamp, but I figure it will do very well for taking the dogs to the park at night (a Rottweiler who is friend with my pooches keeps unwanted individuals far away, heh) or for camping. Loving it!

EDIT

I found this:

http://www.amazon.com/Proporta-Water...8819055&sr=8-8

Is this the aquapac? it says

* Device is fully useable inside the case (view and use the touch screen through the clear window)
* Includes a stylus holder
* Guaranteed 100% waterproof to 5 metres (15 feet)
* Includes detachable neck cord
* Dust and sand-proof too

It's cheaper too, any experiences with this one?

The trouble is that Amazon product description is talking about using it with the PRS-600 which used a touchscreen you had to apply physical pressure to. The PRS-650 works by your finger blocking infrared light (we think) and therefore will be much more sensitive to spurious touches from the plastic case flexing - at least that's my experience as already stated. It does appear to be the same case I've got.

I'm also interested in hearing peoples' experiences with water proof covers that work well with the 650.

I do the vast majority of my leisure reading in the bath, and have not bought an ebook reader for myself because I have been concerned about getting it wet! I really like my wife's 650 and I would buy one if I knew I could get a suitable waterproof case!

Just got it yesterday! I haven't tested it in water yet but I did put the reader in, and I've noticed the touchscreen doesn't work, wich is in my opinion, good news. It doesn't get triggered by case, so I can load a book and use the buttons to read. The cover does NOT fit inside wich is a pity for I have to take it off to put it in the case and I'm sure its not good for the cover's spine, as its a snap on, snap off design. Maybe if this one works ok, I'll try a wider case (this one is a bit long but it folds on itself and to the back of the device, so no problem there) . So, all and all not a perfect solution, but I think it will do nicely for its purpose. As soon as I test it I will take some pics to upload.

Thanks for the update!

I'm definietly interested in seeing how it looks and hearing confirmation that it keeps the reader dry and there aren't any unintended touch screen issues.

I tested it, sorry no pics yet as the camera went caput. I took a bath, though. Touchscreen goes mostly dead. Once or twice it seemed to register something around the page number area, wich was easily fixed pressing the zoom twice.
More dangerous is to press the home button as there is no way to load the book again without messing a lot with the screen or taking it off the case.
Overall, I had a great bath .

So I have a VERY low-tech answer for you that's worked well for me: A ziploc bag!

There is print on one side, but there isn't on the other. I put my PRS-650 in the ziploc bag, then suck all the air out of it so it fits really snug. This doesn't usually trigger the touch screen, though I also can't use the touch screen, so you have to open the book you are going to read and then use the hardware buttons to advance the page.

In my opinion, being able to read in a tub like this is a huge advantage over regular printed books, which (as I know from sad personal experience) don't do well if they get dropped in the tub.

I have the waterproof case and tried my 350 in it, my touchscreen actually works pretty well when I use mine, I can select books and even swipe for page turns, odd yours seems not to. Can't try my 650 till Xmas, but can't see why it would be different to the 350. Still, its a great case and works really great with the buttons anyway.

Thanks for the updates. Now I'm seriously considering getting one of the Sony's (or "borrowing" my wife's) with one of these cases!
