@JimmXinu
I copy the first link (from any site), then open the FFDL, and the link is there. I then choose my browser window again (with the little window for links open in calibre) Copy another link, but this time the FFDL doesn't register it or collect it, so I have to paste it in myself. I thought that it was supposed to take the stories from clipboard on its own? I use Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. |

Tanjamuse,
check the "Keep 'add new from URL(s)' dialog on top" option in the GUI options section and then you can drag and drop URLs into the dialog window. |

@Firedancer885 is correct. FFDL only takes URLs from the clip board when you open the 'Add New from URLs' dialog the first time, not every time it gets focus.

Another test version, this time with a fix to a problem with injected series metadata.

Hey Jimm, thanks for the quick fix -- the append option indeed works now, as does the splitting for my use case.
Sorry that I'm currently a little bit less active (regarding the recently requested russian adapters and the package-magic branch); university is taking a good chunk out of my time. |

Wanted to say thanks for the plugin and that I think that it is absolutely amazing.
Any chance for you to add http://fictionmania.tv to the list of supported sites? It looks like it would be pretty easy to convert to mobile format. Again, Thanks!!! |

Is it possible in your Personal.ini to write what text you want in a custom column for an entire site?
For example: [www.nocturnal-light.net] = Fandom Custom Column: Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, since that all there is on that site? |

@Tanjamuse
Yes, I'm doing that currently anyways. The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" category should be added automatically, which you could replace to what you want with replace_metadata. You can also use any of these. If you decide to use "extracategories" though, the default I specified will be overwritten. Code:
## extra categories, genres, characters, ships and warnings can be ## configured. Used primarily for sites that are dedicated to a genre ## or 'ship and so don't included it for every story. #extracategories: #extragenres: #extracharacters: #extraships: #extrawarnings: I'll see what I can do when I find time. I've made a custom column ratings (M, R, and so on) I would like it to be the same no matter which site.
I've tried the following, but it doesnt show up. [www.fanfiction.net] replace_metadata: ratings=>M=>Mature |

Try "rating" instead of ratings, and don't forget the indentation after replace_metadata.

Still doesn't work. I've made a Custom Column called Ratings, because there were a "ratings"-column already, but that was stars.

I had assumed you had that working already. You can't fill custom columns like this, you need to use "custom_columns_settings".
Either check previous page where similar questions were asked, or take a look at the well-documented plugin-defaults.ini, which you can easily open when editing your personal.ini. You should find this section: Code:
## (Plugin Only) - You can also populate calibre custom columns with ## the site specific metadata using custom_columns_settings (but only ## if 'Allow custom_columns_settings from personal.ini' is checked in ## the plugin GUI config.) There are three parts, the entry name, ## then the label of the calibre custom column, then (optionally) a ## 'mode'. 'r' to Replace any existing values, 'a' to Add to existing ## value (use with tag-like columns), and 'n' for setting on New books ## only. (Default is 'r'.) ## Literal strings can be set into custom columns using double quotes. ## Each metadata=>column mapping must be on a separate line and each ## needs to have one space at the start of each line. #custom_columns_settings: # cliches=>#acolumn # themes=>#bcolumn,a # timeline=>#ccolumn,n # "FanFiction"=>#collection Last edited by cryzed; 06-17-2014 at 03:06 AM. |

You're welcome to laugh at me, but I can't make it work ... And I have no idea how to make it work...
I've tried yet again with the following: [defaults] custom_columns_settings: ratings=>#ratings replace_metadata: rating=>M=>NC-17 And it still shows up as M and nothing else ... I'm sorry for not understanding much of all that personal.ini settings |
