I've had a day where everything has been fubared - so I'm planning on a major night cap of Talisker Storm and a soothing slasher movie .... I could catch up on the AHS Freak Show episodes .... fitting ...

Yikes! Not an especially bad day here, although pretty unproductive -- but I did manage to change the bed and do a load of laundry! And I read while drinking tea. I've got a couple days of driving ahead of me -- hopefully the rain we get on Monday won't freeze!

Good morning, everyone! Just finished my fresh squeezed orange juice, and now drinking a mug of Peet's Holiday Breakfast Blend tea while I get ready to go into the office on a Sunday to apply a BUNCH of patches. The list of critical security patches in this month's Patch Tuesday was ugly, and I don't want to leave anything exposed, so I'm going in a week earlier than I'd planned on. (I know, technically I could do them all remote, but I really, really hate patching when I'm not physically there if there's a major problem. And goodness knows we've seen enough of those over the years!)

Started the day with Sencha and now working on a nice Darjeeling. I hate colds. I hate the tired, foggy feeling and the slightly scratchy throat. Just hate it. And I am going to whine and make myself go to the gym but I hate freaking colds.

That said, I am blessed that the major thing I have to whine about in my life a cold. I say that and now return to my regularly scheduled first world whining....

Hope you feel better, ProfCrash. Colds are not fun. I'm hoping to avoid one this year, but since it's the first year in a long time that I've spent any time at all in an office, I am concerned. Especially since my asthma makes it much more serious.

In my cup this morning, Peet's Anniversary Breakfast Blend. Still have about 100g of this year's, but I need to parse it out carefully. However, it's the best breakfast tea I have in the office.

Yeah, the asthma piece is not nice. Two years ago a cold turned into pneumonia which I couldn't kick which kicked in massive asthma issues. It was a bad winter. I ended up at the Doctors office once a week for about three months and using a nebulizer. Serious suck.

Well, I have a bottle of Purell sitting on my desk, and I use it regularly. Not much else I can do, except make sure I also get my flu shot. (Which I have done, religiously, since 1992.)
