Good morning, everyone! I wonder if it was this sunny back in 1535 when French explorer Jacques Cartier sailed up the St. Lawrence River and reached the Iroquois village we now call Montreal? It was just a small Iroquois village back then, and no one was arguing about which language should be the 'First' one. Progress?

It's East India Company's "Assam" tea today. Always a pleasant brew! A good way to start a lazy day. Nothing much on my plate; do a few shopping chores, lunch with friends, build a few fencing test boxes (we've decided to sell these at tournaments and over the Internet,) finish reading my book and start on another... Lazy day.

Be very careful with hot liquids in a blender. I used a stick blender. You may also be able to put it in a cup with a lid and shake it.

Never a good sign. I see it's not a major layoff, but something "secret". Given that, I remind you to consider what all this means, and if it's something that's secret for the right reasons. If it doesn't smell right, consider going up over his head. But only if it doesn't smell right.

Oh, I so don't miss the politics of work. I've got some minimal ones with the new job (and a bit more of them with the buyout), but not anything even close to what I had to live with in the old days when I was on-site and in a much larger organization.

This morning, after my fresh squeezed orange juice, it's time for some more Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea from Peet's. Pretty soon it'll be rainy every day, and I'll be changing teas, but I need to enjoy this while it lasts.

It's nothing underhand, I'm pleased to say, just that they want me to manage this "secret" project for which I have to sign an NDA.

Coconut water in my glass. Very refreshing, but it is all gone far too quickly...

I love when a tea order arrives. It is nice to have a full drawer at work and cupboard at home. Having some Autumnal Flush Darjeeling from Gong Fu. It is yummy. I started the morning with Jin Yuan Oolong from Gong Fu this morning. Both yummy, very different but yummy. A couple of new teas, the Darjeeling, Jin Yuan and Osmanthus Oolong plus the return of a yellow tea that is a hit and miss at Gong Fun in terms of it being available. That will be a weekend tea because it is really good but expensive so it is more of a special tea, one I will want to steep three or four times.
