This time I got Data and Goliath: The Hidden Battles to Capture Your Data and Control Your World by Bruce Schneier

Bruce Schneier is a cryptography and computer security expert. He wrote the textbooks I used in my college crypto classes, but he also writes books for non-geeks on computer security's impacts on society. Good stuff!

I got Linwood Barclays Broken Promise with my credit.

I have the address in my account set to a US one unlike audible Downpour actually IP check and restrict your book choice based on IP so I always have to fire up the VPN when I use them.

In case you don't know, Broken Promise is actually the first in a trilogy; the second is due out in a few weeks. A lot of people didn't realize that and complained about loose ends.

Actually the reason I picked it up at all is due to your mention of it in the what are we listening to thread which mentioned that fact I should get listening to it soon seeing as the next one is coming out

So apparently we have now reached the point for a new title for the WS deal - "Free Whispersync Deal Every Few Weeks." Beats every 3-4 months like last year, but how about some consistency? Sheesh. Anyways, now we have "Black Beauty" by Anna Sewell for your reading and listening pleasure. As usual, be sure to get the Kindle version (here) first before getting the Audible edition (here). Will it be there tomorrow? Bezos only knows, so don't hesitate.
