Since my Audible membership is on hold, I'm probably going to remain with Downpour for a few months.

I'd be interested to find this out, too. I might stay with Downpour to pick up a few more DRM-free audiobooks, for listening to on my waterproof player.

They don't have a lot of things

I bought it for $2.99 from Audible when I checked out the Overdrive version.

Waiting for the Kindle version to drop again... but it probably won't any time soon as popular as the movie (and book) are.

Downpour has enough titles that are on my Audible wish list that I'll stay for a little while at least, since it's cheaper than Audible and I don't have to deal with DRM. If I haven't used up all my Audible credits while the account is on hold, I think I'll try the Listener Light plan; if I have used them, I am now inclined to cancel Audible and then wait till I'm eligible for a promo--I haven't done the cancel-rejoin-cancel-rejoin dance that would get me extra freebies and discounts.

Thanks, I forgot about the Whispersync option; and at $2.99, it just makes my spending limit of no more than $3 per audiobook.

I thought Matterhorn was terrific. Bronson Pinchot does a marvelous job; I need to find more books he's read.

Thank you! Now that you point it out, of course I see it. I suppose I was looking for a screaming banner or somesuch.

I tended to look at rental listings and just couldn't figure it out.

The rental program has a lot of appeal for me, frankly. I really don't need to own most audiobooks; the likelihood of a relisten is slim.
