@-stepan-: You need to enable Private Messaging. This is in the "Edit Options" of the control panel. If this isn't there, it has to be added somehow. You can try posting in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=319819 to ask it to be enabled, or contact a moderator.

But, you might be better to make an image yourself. That way it will have your serial number and you can configure the device before taking it.

You can Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. It is for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools needed are the same. One of the links is incorrect, but it takes you to the correct site and that has a download link.

But, this thread is for requests for help when the image is needed. If you have a running device, you can make the image for later. But, if your device is not working, then an image might get it working again.

Kobo Mini mod. N705 dead
I bought a kobo mini but it doesn't turn on, it gets to the screen for connecting to the network or PC and it freezes. the old owner tells me he formatted everything !!! I think I need an SD image for the kobo mini model N705, can you help me? Thank you

@Pennabianca: If the device is getting to the point where it is prompting you, the a card hasn't been completely wiped. Try a factory reset using the last instructions on https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kobo_Reset:_Glo_HD. And check under the bezel to make sure nothing is blocking the IR emitters and sensors.

hi, i would appreciate a copy of the kobo mini firmware, thanks

our mini, after a reset will not complete update though the app (gets to end of download and claims internet connection is missing)
so i'm not sure if hardware or what issue, so hopefully this will be enough.

That is not a problem that the image will help with. In fact, if you have gotten to this point, then the device is working and the firmware is working as designed.

See this earlier post for an explanation of what is happening and what to do.

Wow, you have been supporting users in this thread for ten years! Could you please send me the image to restore my kobo mini too? Thank you so much. My system wont upload new files and I tried to force it through the SD card but now it's stuck with the blinking green light...
