oohhh, that's absolutely one thing I have to restrain myself from telling everyone here in my country when I'm asked to 'enjoy' the bloody blood :| that would piss them off if I state I feel creepy, but I felt horrible when I was forced by diplomatic act to give it a try.

yeeesssss...it's yummy

but we don't eat it as much anymore because it's high in cholesterol

i don't think i could ever enjoy blood. just seeing it reminds me of my monthly cycles

Just cooking up some bean soup, for tonight's dinner - following desertgrandma's recipe.

Sliced lump out of thumb on an open can, now wondering how I'm going to mix up the ingredients for the lunchtime fruit scones (without getting blood in it .... )

Chris finally made good on his threat to buy me a sewing machine, after listening to me complain about the price of table linens (I wanted a new table runner for the dining room). I used to sew a lot, but these days I do mostly survival sewing. (Except at Christmas, when I make cloth gift bags for all my gifts instead of using wrapping paper. I've been doing it for over 30 years, I guess, so everybody would be disappointed if I just wrapped a present now!) Anyway, for a while I collected sewing machines. My favorite electric machines are Singer Featherweights -- they look like toys but sew beautifully. Most of my others are treadles or handcranks.

i know the concept of DST, but that doesn't mean that i understand it o_O it all just seems like a mental shift to me.
