My favorite breed is German Shepard, (silver & black) followed by Malamute. But I doubt Malamutes would be happy in this climate. Most Thai dogs are short-hairs. Another thought is that our floors are all either tile, marble, or hardwood. The sound of claws running around the house playing 'chase' with Felicity would be deafening!

Ah, you make me miss Shadow. An almost all black, mostly German shepherd. By American breed standards he was a bit too tall. After I got him at the pound I started taking him on nightly walks through the neighborhood. After only two or three wolks he "caught on" that he had to stop and wait at the curbs, step off the sidewalk and wait for oncoming pedestrians -- I didn't have to say a word.

Having a Coke Zero that I picked up while out on the road earlier today.

They is smart anymules! I had one until he was about a year and a half old. By that time my son was just starting to walk, and having two 'puppies' in the house was too much for my wife. She said one of them had to go. I got voted down and we gave away the dog.

My garage mechanic has a Malamute/German Shepherd cross, and my daughter is in love with it. Wouldn't that be the best of both worlds?

Black coffee.

Does this help at all?

The 19th wedding anniversary can be considered as the best time to give your partner a bronze gifts or an aquamarine treatment. Bronze means partners for life and it symbolises that the partners will remain partners for life. One can also continue the water theme by fitting out the bathroom with some beautiful new accessories.

Why would your daughter being in love with a dog be best for me? That sound's as if it solves YOUR future problems. No need for the shotgun now!

Funny you should say that. I was thinking of a matching shower curtain-shower cap set. But I was told that would lead to divorce... So instead I bought a BRONZE horse from the Chinese Feng Shui shop. The horse is rearing up with his forelegs resting on what is shaped to be gold bullion. This being the Year of the Horse, it's considered to be an auspicious symbol of prosperity. And as she's not particularly 'romantic,' but a real pragmatist, I figure she'll be happy knowing this will help her daily stock market trading. (Which is how she spends her days now that she's retired.) I'm the romantic in the family, which is probably why I liked the matching shower curtain/cap set... But if you want to see the REAL romantic 'me,' wait until you read the 'To Do' list I saved from Feb.14, 1995... I'll post it shortly.

Good morning. I'm glad everyone got home and safe in the mess on the East Coast. I don't suppose I could ask y'all to keep that stuff down there? The Maritimes and Newfoundland/Labrador would appreciate it if you did -- they've had enough already, thank you.

Peet's Major Dickason's coffee this morning. Need the pickup.

Ah, well. More opportunities for those of us on the Wet Coast to comment on the weather to our East Coast friends. It is, after all, 8C and Sunny right now.

Time for some tea -- a big mug of the last of my Peet's Holiday Breakfast Blend.
