I am getting use to the Sumatra, although it still isn't my favorite.

Sloppy knife work in the kitchen. I know better. I usually do better. This time I didn't take the 2 seconds longer to actually set myself before I started chopping. Stupid. There's nothing safer than a _very_ sharp knife when used correctly. Or more dangerous when not.

Ouch again. That is the one thing I am always afraid of when I am using a knife in the kitchen. I've seen someone chop their finger and had to go to the hospital. So, now, I always take time and go slow which is completely opposite to what I use to do.
I hope it wasn't too, too bad and you heal up quickly. |

Just painful. I took off a mm or so, and a piece of the nail. Enough that it will take a while to heal and it's really, really painful when I inadvertently touch it. And more than enough to provide a useful feedback mechanism.

![]() When it's cold outside I've got the month of May. I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My girl (my girl, my girl) Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl). I've got so much honey the bees envy me. I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees. Well, I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My girl (my girl, my girl) Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl). ![]() (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IUG-9jZD-g) Good morning, everyone. Bright and beautiful Tuesday, 26° at 8am, and I'm READY! I've got East India Company's "Assam" tea in my cup, no chores to do, and only a good music jam this afternoon to think about. Got our travel tickets for the dive trip this weekend, picked up a couple of pocket rain coats just in case, so that's all out of the way... Now it's just 'relax and enjoy' until it's time to try and get Felicity into the travel box for her trip to the cat hotel... Charlie and Dreams... and others too... Hey, here's a tip (no pun intended) for the times when you get a painful owie on your finger tip but need to use it anyway. "Superglue" After the injury has scabbed over or closed (actually, this works well for closing small injuries too, but best to apply an antiseptic first) just put a few drops of Superglue covering the end of the finger and let it harden for a few minutes. It will form a 'shell' that will protect the finger tip from pressure, allowing you to get on with your work. (Be careful not to glue your fingers together, or scratch your nose until it hardens...) I use this when ever I get a finger tip injury and want to play guitar. Even with constant abrasion with steel strings, the glue cap remains in place for a couple of hours. For typing or such, it should last all day. When you no longer need it, just peel it off. You don't even need to use nail polish remover to take it off. It will peel off fairly easily without it. I keep a little 'one use' tube of it in my guitar case at all times. It completely stops the pain! Stitchawl |

Just now wrapping my fingers around my second mug of tea, trying to drain as much warmth out of it as I can!

Cabernet Franc (a South Africa red) in my glass. Just superglued my fingers to the bottle so no one else can have any...
And no slight intended CRussel - chopping off a bit of your finger is horrible. |

Soup and potato chips for dinner tonight. LM will drink the broth and I can put the meat and veggies on a plate for him. Easy, warm, and good for us.

Keep warm back there, people, and stay safe. You'll lose more than a mm of finger if you get frostbite.
More Russian Caravan. It's wet here. |

![]() My baby beside me at the wheel I stole a kiss at the turn of a mile My curiosity runnin' wild Cruisin' and playin' the radio With no particular place to go. Ridin' along in my automobile I was anxious to tell her the way I feel, So I told her softly and sincere, And she leaned and whispered in my ear Cuddlin' more and drivin' slow, With no particular place to go. ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIY4OEAd6Yk ) Good morning, everyone! Nothing to do and someone special to do it with. That makes for a fine day! Play a little music, take a long walk, eat some good food, read a good book... For this I have given up all my other lives. There is unbranded Keemun tea in my cup this morning. I just looked at my stash and I think I have at least another two year's supply if I keep to the rotations I've been following. It's all vacuum-sealed with O2 protectors and kept in a dark cupboard, so I think it will stay fresh enough. Time now to visit the Food Lady! Yippee! Stitchawl |
