I also received an email today, that my order would be shipping tonight

I mailed shop@bookeen.com, yesterday.

I'm hopeful; things look better today than they did yesterday. My order is 71xx. I emailed again and see if I get a response. I might not get my order before Christmas but soon after if they ship today.

If they got new units I hope they got some covers as well. I still haven't found anything to protect the unit.

I would imagine that the covers are from a different supplier.

Without actually having the Cybook in-hand to take precise measurements, I can't be certain what will work best, but I took a stroll down the planners, portfolios, & briefcases aisle at Walmart and spotted at least five or six possibilities, ranging from ~$12-50 in price. It wouldn't be too terribly difficult to remove the binder rings from a planner, some of which are quite solid yet well-padded. Better yet, maybe something that's being marketed as a "Padfolio" would work, since it's got pre-existing straps to hold up to an 8 1/2" x 11" notepad firmly in place and the notepad would be a lot easier to remove than the binder rings. I think there's plenty of stuff out there that will work, especially if it's only needed as a temporary measure.

I was told that mine was "first on the list" and I havn't received anything.

Even sent them an angry email, which they didn't answer.

I also emailed Bookeen about the status of my order, 739X, placed Dec 7, and received this message:

New production plane was delayed and only landed tonight.

Your order is scheduled for shipment tomorrow (Thursday).

If everything goes as expected, you should receive your order on
Friday/Monday.

Sent email this morning asking for status. I haven't received a reply to this latest inquiry, and no news yet from FedEx either. Anxious to hear when anyone in this batch of orders receives the FedEx message.

PS Just checked my email, and was all excited at the incoming mail, until I found out it was just MobileRead confirming that I joined.
