You can also use adblock (Firefox extension) to block an image completely, or images from a given site. I did it to get rid of all those huge counters in signatures

Right now trying to decide what to order from Amazon.com to be delivered at my sister's for when I go visit her. So far I have decided on:

Civ V for Mac
Objectivity by Lorraine Daston
The Social Construction of What? by Ian Hacking

Also hesitating on:
Seeing Further: The Story of Science, Discovery, and the Genius of the Royal Society because it looks like a paperback edition will be out in the summer, and I dislike hardbacks intensely.
Biographies of Scientific Objects because, well... I have to stop somewhere, don't I...

I am taking my family to my son's soccer game which is a couple hour drive to get to.

Think of it this way: your work is immortalized every day/week the paper is published.

Currently, first cup of coffee and strategizing. I'm redoing the Destroyer's water cooling today, have to check the brakes on the truck, and Shel & I have to get groceries.

Luckily it's only a monthly thing, otherwise I would have buckled under the stress already. I guess you are right, although some mistakes you don't want to have immortalized!

I had a cat that liked raw garlic. She had a chronic sinus condition medication could not fully alleviate, and I suspected she liked raw garlic because it was one of the few things she could actually smell.

Just the opposite with my two. The female is finicky, the male thinks he's a dog.

You guys should try giving the cats some olives. I don't know if my sister's male cat is abnormal, but he goes crazy for olives. I can't stand the stuff myself!

Our (male) cat loves green pepper and lettuce especially. He once stole the lettuce out of the s.other's ham sandwich. He tries to steal my dried cranberries, too.

My male siamese will eat french fries. My mother had a female himalayan who would flat out attack you for cheese. I have to watch the siamese closely, because he seems to have a thing for chocolate and of course he can't have it. Our other two are pickier.
