Is scrolling in web pages not annoying anyone? I think the device tries to render after every command when scrolling up and down in web pages, so it is extremely laggy. Maybe the same goes for pdf's too, haven't tried. Also not a big deal but when playing solitaire, page refreshes at every single input.

It doesn't seem to affect PDF that much. At least on mine...

Known issue. I've downgraded to 3.2.0 pretty much because of that issue as I sometimes use the Web browser.

You know, Kobo is Kobo and it will always be...

I am happy with update to 3.3.0. My Aura HD first did not remember the wifi password and then stopped working with Wifi. After the update it is working perfectly. Haven't noticed any other major changes, other than fixing the bug with wifi.

Handling of punctuation such as em dashes is worse in 3.3.0 than 3.2.0 (on kepubs at least). If the text is set with em dashes between two words without any space either side, then when justifying a line 3.3.0 doesn't centre the em dash between the words but aligns it so that there is no space on the left and a large space on the right. At least with 3.2.0 the dash was centred between the words—still incorrect behaviour in my opinion: if the text is set without an space either side of the dash, then justification should not be introducing any space there.

And if a sentence or paragraph ends with an em dash, then every so often the line breaking will put the dash on a new line by itself, which looks very bad (I think this is a kepub problem which is not new with 3.3.0).

The upgrade was rolled out to my Aura HD in NYC last night. 3.3.0 seems far more responsive than 3.2.0 on this particular e-reader. It's a welcome upgrade.

One thing I do wish: That the user could type or correct any word in the look-up field in the dictionary popup menu within a book (for those times when aleatoric is spelled with two o's). That's a feature from Sony's Readers that I miss.

I'd also like to be able to load specific kinds of dictionaries. But perhaps these options are available in some way and I simply haven't been attentive.

I completely agree! Sometimes the dictionary has the root word which was easy to look up on the Sony reader when it couldn't find a definition...

Got 3.3.0 a few days ago, and it completely broke wifi connection on my Aura HD, which was already buggy anyway. (I had to reboot the device every time I wanted to connect to wifi.)

Factory reset fixed the wifi problem, though! I don't know what the factory reset did, but during the reset it downloaded and installed the firmware update again. Anyway, my Aura HD's wifi connection is back to normal.

I had to side-load all the books again, and lost all the reading progresses, but the fact that the wifi problem is now fixed is a huge relief.

That is a common fix for problems. If you get strange problems that others aren't seeing after a firmware upgrade a factory reset frequently fixes it. Manually reinstalling the firmware update over the update can also fix it.

If you are a calibre user, get my Kobo Utilities plugin. It can store and restore the reading positions of the books.

After the glitch with Pocket (maybe more related to logging out of my Kobo account than the update), I'm happy to report that everything works as it should with the new firmware.

Been using 3.3.0 for a while now, and so far it seems to have completely solved all the three annoying freezing problems I've been struggling with to now. To wit:

Occasionally freezing, accepting no input _except_ to power off. When turning back on, works fine.

Very rarely freezes and accepts no input at all. Only solution is pinhole reset.

The well known freezing on opening chapter, solvable by clicking top screen to open menu. It has happened less and less frequently for every FW revision; now it seems completely gone.

All three are completely gone, and I am a very happy camper!

On the whole, I like 3.3.0 (I skipped 3.2), which as noted solved a number of bugs, but I have noticed that my aura HD doesn't go to sleep by itself anymore, even though the parameters (I checked) are unchanged at 10'.

I often forget to turn it off manually, and it impacts the battery.

I don't know about the aura 6", since I use it only on the go, with the sleep cover.

Do you mean that you let the light on? Because an "open book" doesn't use much more battery than the sleep screen The main difference is whether the IR sensors are on or off, isn't it?

I don't know if it's a known issue (I can't read all the threads and even in a threads, sometimes all the posts) but I wanted to set the font to kobo Nickel (with 3.2.0) and I had huge line spacing even if it was set to zero. With 3.3.0, it seems to be fixed but I became used to Malabar and now that it "works", I don't want it anymore
