They likely need to keep track of stuff like that just as a pawn shop does. I'm guessing you had to show ID so they could record that info too?

It took them a heck o' a long time to put the info in the computer. What a spontaneous decision on my part. Clearly I have no willpower, as I said in the other thread, but I couldn't pass up $119 (the 16G version) - $50 (trade-in) -$10 (Rewards $$) Turned down the extra protection plan and everything else they offered. Watching pre-baseball coverage and setting the cute lil thing up to my liking (i.e. sideloading a crap full of apps!). |

Wish they were taking old Nook branded tablets. I have a Nook Color & Nook Tab I'd love to be able to trade in like this.

All this cute talk about the Fire HD6. I'm turning mine into a manly beast with this Poetic case; something any silverback would be proud to carry . |

It may have taken forever for them to enter the data in their computers for some of you, but at least they accepted your tablets! I tried to turn two old tablets into BestBuy today and got turned down on both of them. Geeeeeeeeeeeee, seems they didn't want the one that runs Android 2.2 or even the other that runs 2.4. Wonder why not? I thought it was worth a try though. |

I thought so too, but the gal told me it had to be listed in their computers and neither tablet was. I came home and read all of the fine print and part of it says "Best Buy reserves the right to refuse any trade-in or limit quantities for any reason. " It was frustrating since I had to drive across town, about 30 mintues each way, but I guess next time I will read all of the fine print? (Naw, I probably won't! My eyes just aren't up to it anymore.)

At my Best Buy the girl did not seem to be all that knowledgeable about how to do the trade in process. She had to call someone over to help.
