I see what you mean. Artificial "relaxing" sounds are extremely annoying. Wind chimes would be different though, I think... though I've never really experienced them, maybe they would annoy me too. My sister has a set, but they are so heavy that the only time they chime is just before a hurricane

Generally speaking, I dislike sensory overstimulation. I don't mind nice sounds and smells in reasonable quantities, but as we say in French, "too much is too much". And whatever the sound, after a while I always start longing for silence.

I don't like scented candles either, and I hate smelling someone's perfume unless it's so discreet that I can forget it after the first whiff.

Add me to the chorus that loves wind chimes. Chris, not so much, though. He has genetic hearing loss and tinnitus - he says he hears chimes ALL the time, LOL. He was nice enough to buy me a really nice set with a medium tone for my birthday two years back though

. I absolutely love the huge ones that sound like church bells, but they're expensive.

Right now I'm sitting here consuming my first diet dr pepper of the day. Yesterday I only got 3/4 of one - but did get two glasses of raspberry iced tea at the restaurant we ended up meeting one of Chris's uncles and his family at for an impromptu dinner

I'd never heard of this place, even though it's a chain, (Granite City) but the food was excellent.

Then I think we're going out for a bit (which is pretty much all we've done all weekend!); but I think we're staying closer to home this time, as I have a midterm due sometime before midnight. I'm still at 100% in this class after three weeks, so I'm sort of dreading the midterm, because I'm pretty sure the streak will be broken, LOL.

Got it on sale 50% off at Hobby Lobby clearance.

It's beginning to kick up out there too...currently 52F but I see it coming in from the west, will drop to the 30's in the next few hours....

and maybe a couple of inches of snow for the morning commute....

my favorite set I paid over $200 for at specialty store. of course that was back when I had money and a life...
