You can see for yourself by d/ling the sample of Glory Road by Robert A. Heinlein. This is a tpz book and will fail as stated. Last edited by DoctorOhh; 12-24-2009 at 10:13 AM.

Because so many people seem to be having problems with DRM-free books, I've updated unswindle to handle them cleanly. Try version 6-rc1 if you're getting the "failed to determine book PID" error.

I think Amazon removed DRM from all samples some time ago (except for TOPAZ which I'm not sure is DRM or just a format only readable on the Kindle).

For some folks this error occurs because they already had Kindle for PC launched when the script is run. The script goes to execute the app and if it is already open then the error:Failed To Determine Book Path flashes up on the screen. Maybe i♥cabbages can check for this or expand the error message indicating already having Kindle for PC active is one cause of this error. |

. I'm considering that one fairly low priority, but will gladly integrate a patch if someone sends me one.

I think it really depends on what genre you read. I like cozy mysteries. I have at least three series on my wishlist right now that are Topaz, and all of them are at least three books each.

Just a reminder... Guys, please remember our policy to not directly link to tools that can be used to break DRM. Also, please don't ask for detailed how-to instruction. And a Happy Christmas everyone! |

I think labba made the news. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8428126.stm But could be a different labba, since it seems like the labba here was working on just decryption. Last edited by MerLock; 12-26-2009 at 02:04 AM. |
