I don't think I'm the one uniformed. Go to the market and look through the Apps. 9 times out 10, you will always see someone make sure to highlight what device they are using so you know it works if you have the same device. This is one of the great things about android users, they do try to let you know if there is a problem on a certain device.

You can try to make me out as Apple fanboi or whatever you want to call me. Although I think its you that has the droid color glasses. I just like tech. If I like it, I'll buy it. I don't care who makes it. But also after having so many devices, I have a compassion of who seems to have a better user experience.

I expect Amazon to have a much better user experience then Google. If that hurts your feelings, oh well. I for one look forward to trying it out.

The nook color was never meant to be a full blown Android tablet . Not quite sure what you are trying to prove there.

It doesn't run on my husbands Evo either.

I'm not even bashing Android. I like Android. I just think there are to many fingers in the pot and the experience varies across devices.

Anyway, I think this thread is off track. Its about Amazon and the user experience, and Amazon brand loyalty that is going to make it out sell, any other Android tablet. And I still think its ironic that they locked google out of their own, open system.

What the heck is "AutoCard"? I googled and looked in android market and didn't get a hit.

I haven't seen much Apple fanboyish rhetoric around MB. There's certainly brand loyalty but people here tend to be much more rational and mellow about it. There are some scary, frothing at the mouth anti-Apple nuts out there as well. Best thing to do is just address the points you disagree with without suggesting they're the result of some mental defect.

That said, the Google Market is not that bad these days. It's gotten a lot better. I still prefer the Amazon market, but there have been some apps I wanted that they didn't carry (respected, quality apps too; not junk).

The reaction of Android fanboys to another, but critical, Android user only confirms me in my decision to switch over to Ios. That said, maybe Amazion's offering may tempt me into buying other Android devices

the difference is android users can complain and debate each other, iOS users have the mentality of "Thank you sir may I have another".

I honestly do believe, if the iPhone 5 was nothing better than the iPhone 4, no improvements etc people will still line up up around the corner and eveyone will be "Wow this is the greates phone ever, it's magical, this changes everything, again!""

Actually iOS users also complain and debate one another. Often without denigrating others and dismissing their experiences offhand.

Well, I'm an architectural designer, and I use AutoCad WS on my EVO all the time. As far as I know, that's the only AutoCad program that works on android phones. Sometimes people blame the OS, when the real problem with software installation can be using a custom rom that can gimp the features of a phone. Who knows, but AutoCad WS definitely works on the EVO.

I might add, it works very well, I can view Autocad files on my EVO in the field, that's a godsend. Now if we can get Revit on the phone, I'll be in heaven.

That's true to, and it did work for him until he updated it. And he's running stock. I'm the rooter in the house hehe..

Are you on Evo 4g or the last one that came out? I'll have to let him know it works for you. Maybe he needs to reformat his phone.

Now if I could just get my Fascinate's GPS to work before I actually get to where I'm going, I'd a much happier camper.

Amazon is going to take it. I think they are going to outsell all the other Android tablet makers by a landslide because of brand loyalty and the expected user experience.

Hopefully they can live up to the expectations.

Oh i'm just messing around. besides I'm sure iOS fanboy's have their squabbles too. The internet is tough place in these types of debates.

But you can't blame Android for Samsung's lack of update's HTC is well known to update their high end phones pretty timely. And Moto isn't too shabby themselves I have the Droid X and I bought it at the end of July 2010 with 2.1 (Eclair) in september I had 2.2 (Froyo) and about 3 months ago 2.3 (Gingerbread) . That's 2 major updates in a year.

iOS only does one major update per year, they may do small ones for bug fixes or small features but they don't roll out a ton a major updates throughout the year.

I like Amazon's ecosytem, i do like it better than iTunes, and it's more vesatile, the only app it's lacking as of right now is Amazon Video on Demand, I have it on my Roku box so I hope they don't close it off to the rest of the android world and keep it only on their tablets. I mean we already have Amazon mp3, Amazon cloud, Kindle, and it's App store.

We'll see. I for one won't be too excited for their first one. That one will most likely be just an answer to the nook color, The larger 10 inch tablet is the one I'm keeping an eye on.

Sorry for the late reply. Anyway, the Kobo app on the Amazon app store appears to be an older version that's why it looked a bit different. According to File Expert, it's version 2.7.405. The one on Android Market is 3.1.1211.

Apple fanboys are crazy in a numb, passive way, which is bizarre enough as it is. Android nuts are consumed by hatred-- psychotic. Amazon seems to be stirring up their ire as well, and I suspect the AmTab's version of android will be treated like Judas.
