You know you have my support, KK, and encouragement. Really, you'll be so much better within a week of the surgery that you won't believe the difference. And by all means, go after the butcher that caused this!

I expect you off the crutches within two weeks, and not even taking the cane with you by 6 weeks. Yes, you'll have PT, and PT will be what PT always is, work. But you'll also be able to enjoy having an excuse to just relax a bit this summer, and catch up on some reading, do some walking, etc. Without serious pain meds.

Hopefully after the operation your knee will heal quickly. Also good luck with going after your doctor. When I hear this I'm glad that in the Netherlands doctors are less eager to prescribe pain relief medicine and try to find the real problem.

I am not thinking this doctor is all knowing, but I must do as he says despite some scepticism. He could be right. If I do as he says it may cause me some discomfort, worth it if it works, and won't kill me if it doesn't. Only way I can see to go at present.
