The files are attached to the first post in this thread, and the instructions are in the section entitled "INSTALL".
I am not so sure why this is hard for you -- if there was a step of the instructions that you wanted clarification for, that would be one thing, but it sounds like you didn't even try reading anything. |

He should start an Arabic Kindle Developers Corner forum, if he prefers to interact with (strictly) native Arabic speakers, though perhaps that would be too much (unpaid) work when he apparently has more interesting things to do with his time than following directions written in English (such as in the first post). I was on 5.7.4 with jailbreak and have used the hotfix before, but now my son set a password and could not remember it. I reset the device and everything was erased. I think jailbreak is gone now. I put Kual into documents, but cant see.
If i put the hotfix into root it says: "An invalid update file has been loaded on your device..." Is there hope for me? |

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...59#post3291859 So now, are you saying you DID open your device, and connect a TTL serial adapter, and attempt to do the serial jailbreak using the instructions in the first post of this thread? You are not making yourself clear to some of us, especially regarding what steps you have done, and how they may have failed. We need more information about what you did and how it failed, before we can advise you on how to make more progress in your jailbreak efforts. Some of your posts imply that you are not interested in jailbreaking, and others suggest that you are not interested in following instructions written in English or that use too many words (i.e. "TL;DR"). To us, it seems as though your posts contradict each other, and do not make specific requests nor include enough relevant details for us to guess what you should do next. Specifically, what firmware version is installed on your kindle NOW? What steps did you try? What were the results? What worked? What did NOT work? In your "many" attempts to jailbreak, what was different, and what was the same, in your attempts, and in intermediate results? Please provide answers to these questions, and supply any additional information that might be relevant, so that we may help you accomplish your goals. That means your jailbreak is gone. Try using the rescue pack (or cowards recue pack) methods to restore it (if you installed them). For example, reboot while connected to a charger, to see if CRP can reactivate the jailbreak. If you did not install those jailbreak accessories, try reinstalling the jailbreak. If it fails, oh well, the factory restore did you a boo-boo. Hopefully you can do a serial port firmware downgrade and then jailbreak that.

The Kindle Touch can also be natively jailbroken with the repetitively-mentioned files attached to the first post in this thread, no need to do anything other than follow simple instructions and unpack a few files into the Kindle userstore.
That is the original reason this thread was created. ![]() ![]() @abbashuss95, maybe if I repeated myself, it would convince you that that is what you need to do? Okay, here goes: Quote:

@p-d: Try the *hotfix* package, instead of MKK (that one won't ever install through UYK on FW >= 5.whatever, even on sane devices)
![]() In the meantime, Airplane mode. If you get a FW update on top on your factory reset, you WILL be screwed. |
