So far it has been very slow going and I am only listening it during my runs which I am afraid not often during a week. The book has picked some pace now and hope it gets better. I agree that WOOL was more enjoyable than this.

I am about 1/2 way into Celebrity in Death, the 34th book in the Eve Dallas mysteries by Nora Roberts writing as J. D. Robb.

Now reading the latest Jack Reacher, Make Me. Excellent, as always.
ha, i'm doing the exact same thing. I don't want it to end but i know it has to. I wish the Alan Grofield books would be released as ebooks i'd like to read them as well.

Finished War of Honor. At All Costs is next, but this is where Weber goes of into a direction I wasn't thrilled with last time I read these books.

So, I started reading Robin Hobb's Dragon Keeper instead. The writing isn't as compelling as some authors I've read, but the story itself is good, and interesting. I'll finish this one soon enough and go to the next in the series.

Some of them are available at Amazon Canada. I'd assumed they were also available in the US, since they are published by University of Chicago Press.

Which I enjoyed. Remarkably good for its time, and I liked the requirements for time travel (although there is one oversight in the conditions).

Next: Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch. I liked the sample. I hope I like the book, as I've also bought the next four in the series!

I'll be astounded if you don't. This series was my surprise of the year last year. (And, btw, the Audible versions are also excellent.)

Same here - eagerly awaiting #6.

Just finished A Liaden Universe Constellation Vol 3 by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller - nicely filled a few holes, and, as usual, left me wanting more. I'm finding that I prefer the short story format for the Liaden Universe. I love to see the minor characters being fleshed out.

Sadly, it looks like #6 has been delayed. I had pre-ordered it and just got a notification last week that it wouldn't be available until June.

Liaden Universe: I prefer the longer works, but enjoy the short stories as well. Like you, I love to see characters fleshed out. Especially in this character driven Universe.

As with most other series, I prefer novels. However, once I know the setting and the primary characters, I can enjoy the occasional short story or novella. I just tend to think of it as being a couple of chapters of a longer work.

Four of them are available as ebooks from both US Amazon and US Kobo.

Yes, I've been waiting for them to be released too. Very frustrating.

That's worth knowing. Might have to do a bit of location fudging to be able to purchase them...

Perhaps there is a geographical rights issue for the UK for print vs digital distribution.

I just finished To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and loved this book far more than I anticipated I would. As of now it ranks in my estimation as being one of the greatest novels I've ever read. The storytelling was simple but powerful, and the relations between the races came off as thoroughly authentic for the times. Highly recommended. While I intend to download a preview of the sequel (or prequel or whatever it is), Go Set a Watchman, I doubt after some of the reviews I've read that I'll actually read it. It would hurt too much to read that she transformed Atticus into a bigot. (Did she really do that?)
