It will be include come on!
For mobi and epub, we got to wait and hope, finger cross, touching wood...
Thank you for reminding us where we got our belief that folders had been promised by Bookeen in the next release....so here it is, promised on September 5, 2008 no less.....

Maybe we'll get this promised enhancement by September 5, 2009? Ready for another poll, anyone? Who thinks we will have this by September 5th 2009?

Bookeen better get busy, that's only a little more than 4 months away.

*AS* they've said so often before. I'll believe his words when I can go to their website and download the firmware update and SEE folder management running in my Mobipocket version!

Sorry, but Bookeen's 'words' mean nothing to me.

Best case senario is epub drm with prc no drm, and an other firmware with mobi drm, and epub no drm.
But Bookeen would have to write their own code to handle DRM free Mobipocket eBooks as they would not be allowed to use Mobipocket's code in the ePub firmware. So my feeling is it's either ePub or Mobipocket but not both.

What would work would be to implement FBReader in the ePub firmware.

I think it was meant that the DRM was stripped such that no eBooks loaded onto the reader had DRM.

DRM removal is illegal in many countries. Perhaps some people prefer not to break the law.

I'm usually a follow the rules person. But i'm causing no harm when removing drm, so i don't have to worry about my books being taken away from me.

I completely agree, and feel the same way as you do. I was simply suggesting that it may be an issue for some people.

DRM is there on many of my e-books, doesn't upset me in anyway....however if my reader goes u/s and Fictionwise has not retained my bookshelf, then I will probably have little choice but to argue a case for stripping the DRM - but that date, hopefully will be a long way ahead ......

I have had no response, from Bookeen, as to the missing firmware of Monday.....

No, I simply don't buy files with DRM (no music, no books) - hence the underline to my nick...

Despite the law in many countries - at least in my opinion - there is something called "common sense" and if I would strip the DRM of files I own just for my own/private use, this is what's called a "victimless crime". To criminalize everybody who does this is the "real" crime, if you ask me...

More about DRM and why it's evil: HERE (Eric Flints column on baens-universe.com)

gerraldo, it's the same in Germany. And as long as you don't boast about it or distribute the DRM-stripped file nobody will know (or care) anyway. "No plaintiff, no lawsuit".
