I am pretty sure all my kindles charge in the 2 hour windows to full. They don't take as long as tablets.

On your example: only if the 15amp fuse had blown.

It is not the aluminium that will be 'destroyed,' or rather, scratched. It is the paint.

I owned a Sony 600 without a case for a couple of weeks without a case, and it did pick up scratches and marks. The 600 was aluminium painted black, just like the Oasis/2. I am careful with e-readers. IMO the half exposed back of the Oasis2 is a poor design feature. I wonder if owners of the original Oasis can chime in with their experiences.

One corner of my Oasis exposes its aluminium chassis )) I don't complain, I've painted it with black enamel, and it looks fine, but it was unpleasant surprise. I dropped it from the table to the tile floor first day I've got. And its cover did not help at all - it flew apart... But I was happy to learn that it is metallic inside. Aluminum is a good thing for me...

I have the back of a H20 decal (I only used the front). My plan is to cover the exposed part of the back with the decal, that's why i have ordered the black water safe fabric case.

I just squinted myself into a headache and checked on all the charger thingies I have. They are from kindles, fires, nexus tablet, asus phone, etc. I don't have any that are 2.1a. The nexus one is 1.35a. I have one that I think went to the Echo Dot at 1.8. The small kindle ones are 0.85. I have another one that is 1.8 that I purchased in addition to the Nexus back when I got it.

Then some say different W, which I assume is watts? Does that bother any devices? I have one that says 9W and its a 1.8a.

I also have the Ikea Koppler 3 usp charger I used most of the time for all my stuff. I have no clue what its number is as it only states the total for all 3 usb, so I don't know how to calculate that stuff.

Compared to my kindles, my phone takes forever to charge up.

Its all too confusing to me. I just plug them in to whatever one is available at the time I need it. Haven't blown up a device yet. Most of mine are branded though, Amazon, or ikea or some other thing like that.

They say risk of car accidents is highest within the first few miles of home or work, as attention has not fully shifted into gear. Same seems to apply to new gadgets.

Ah, thanks. I got that one after you posted about it and it looked good. Its what I use most of the time as its more organized and I have a lack of open sockets in the house.

So if I have all 3 used to charge something, it would be divided by 3? Or each of the usb up to 2.4a.
