I notice several of Berkley titles pulled I think this means she got the right back and will be releasing them in digital herself! I love her writing! I want more of her books!



OT: OMG talking about jumping through hoops! So I finally got a a new prepaid credit card through PayPal and Kobo refuses to take it! Amazon has no problems with it. This card is in my name. It's feels nice to have something in my name for a change instead of his. I had to once again buy through PayPal. WorldPay sucks!!!! Why did they remove the PayPal credit card form Why! And PayPal see Kobo in Canada so I had to verify my identity again!

Many of more recent self-published digital releases are books I already have in digital from back in the days I was buying LIT books or were sonme of my very first purchases at the Sony Store. I am glad she got the rights back to the Pocket books, but I really hope she will evenentually release her old Silhouette titles she wrote as Stephanie James. I haven't read them all (have most from used bookstores in my paper TBR) but have liked most of the ones I have read.

Have you read Abduction of Julia by Karen Hawkins? It's was a 5 star read for me. It's the start of her many books as all her characters are connected in some way. I'm sure OD has it if you looking for an entertaining read and Nick who later get his own story stole my heart.

Well, I am going to have to read this book. Read the reviews on Goodreads I see what you meant a few days about about perceptions of mores of the times.

I was checking on that book by Karen Hawkins, Abduction of Julia, since Blossom mentioned it. I found out I bought it in 2011 on sale.

And this is what happens with me and my book hording and buying and one clicking. I have had that book for 3 years. But then I still have books I bought in 2008 when I got my first kindle that I haven't read yet.

And last year I bought more books than any other year since kindle. Again

But what do I continue to do? Buy more books.

I blame all of you.

I have books in my print TBR pile that I got in the late 90s*. The "oldest" unread book in my digital TBR was purchased in April 2005

*In my defense I boxed up all of my books when I first knew I was going to move, then they sat in storage for over two years until I actually moved. I have just about all of Jayne Ann Krentz's old categories (except the rare out of print ones as Jayne Bentley) and I can only read so many in a row. Of course now it has been 6 years since I moved and I keep meaning to get to them, but...

I left all my books behind when I immigrated to the US. I don't want to know what my mother did with them and the rest of my stuff.
I only had 2 suitcases of possessions to take with me. And I have always lived in apartments here in the US so space was always limited. I do have some boxes and one large bookshelf full of books. Mostly out of print stuff. Just to look at, can't read them anymore with my eyes.

But boy I am making up now with ebooks. Weeeeeeee

So did I! I haven't figured out how to add Kindle books to calibre yet and because the MYK site has no organizational features, I often forget what I've already purchased

I found out when I searched the book on goodreads to read the reviews. MYK is useless so I put everything I own into shelves to goodreads. It has helped me often to prevent buying the same book again if it got a new kindle number. I know I could search on MYK, but I have had many times where a book wouldn't come up in one search, but did at another. So I trust my shelves more on goodreads and booklikes.

I also have calibre sorted out, but I don't run calibre all day and its only on the desktop and I use my netbook often.

I would be completely lost without my databases, shelves, lists about my books.
