I couldn't find the translators' notes anywhere in the preview, Difflugia. Did you see them?
Not exactly. The sample (from B&N, but the different stores' samples are usually the same) stopped in Genesis 49 and didn't include the text of the notes. The links for the notes were in the right places, though, and it sounded to me like LovesMacs actually owns a copy and knows what he or she is talking about.

So, they're endnotes, rather than footnotes?

This Osnova edition has linked endnotes, not the notes on the side as seen in my Hendrickson Publishers facsimile of the 1611 KJV. The Osnova edition has the 1611 dedicatory epistle and translators' preface but lacks the almanac and chart of prayers.

5-Star Rated, Humorous Ebook on Coping in Motherhood--And, It's FREE.

Note: the ebook is oriented toward Christians, and has religious references.

Confessions of a Wonder Woman Wannabe. By Jenny Lee Sulpizio. Rated 5 stars, from 50 reviews at the present moment. Print list price $14.99; digital list price $9.99; Kindle price now $0.00. Leafwood Publishers, publisher. 224 pages. http://www.amazon.com/Confessions-Wo...+Woman+Wannabe.

Book Description
She may be tough, beautiful, and practically perfect in every way, but saving the world is only easy when you're Wonder Woman. Being a mom, on the other hand? Now, that takes some serious superpowers.

A lasso of truth, bulletproof wristbands, and an invisible airplane. Throw in a golden tiara, great hair, and abs made of steel and you've got a gal theoretically capable of saving the planet (and looking fabulous in the process, too, I might add). But moms aren't looking to save the world. Nope. They'd settle for well-behaved kids, a clean home, an occasional nap or two, and maybe an uninterrupted trip to the bathroom every once in a while. They'd trade in the need for perfection--the desire for acceptance--and willingly cast aside those unrealistic expectations they've placed upon themselves in their roles as mothers.

Confessions of a Wonder Woman Wannabe provides the modern-day mommy with sanity-saving tips, advice, and hilarious real-life accounts that every supermom can most certainly relate to, benefit from, and appreciate. After all, the reader may not have been born with superhuman strength, but with God on her side, Jesus in her heart, and the Holy Spirit in her corner, she's more than equipped to handle the daily battles that rage before her. ""So hold on tight, girls, as we prepare to tackle this role of motherhood together: the good, the bad, (the slightly ugly), and everything in between."

Inspirational Memoir from Jim Daly, President and CEO of Focus on the Family. FREE.

Finding Home: An Imperfect Path to Faith and Family. By Jim Daly. Rated 4 1/2 stars, but from only 2 reviews at Amazon for this edition at the present moment; the 2007 edition (same text) is rated 4 1/2 stars, from 16 reviews at the present moment. Print list price $14.99; digital list price $14.99; Kindle price now $0.00. David C. Cook, publisher. 240 pages. http://www.amazon.com/Finding-Home-I...ding+home+daly.

Book Description
Jim Daly, president and CEO of Focus on the Family, managed to rise above his harrowing childhood, which included living in Compton, a suburb of Los Angeles. In this deeply personal memoir, he relives horrors no child should endure. A bloodcurdling neighborhood murder merely serves as the backdrop to the abuse and alcoholism within the four walls of his own home, a cycle broken only by the cancer that left him motherless. Orphaned at an early age, Jim saw firsthand the worst this world had to offer. He somehow managed to catch enough glimpses of grace that he knew he wanted more, both from himself and from a God he had to believe existed. And from that small spark of grace, a great man emerged.

The Rose Publishing pamphlet Christianity, Cults and Religions is free at Christianbook. It's a DRM-free epub, but there's also a link and password for a DRM-free, printable PDF inside. Note that this (and other Rose books) only allow a single download from Christianbook, but if you "buy" it again after downloading it, it will reset the link (you'd normally pay for it again, too, but it's currently free).

Also free again at Christianbook is the FCA Athlete's Bible: All In, which is a sports-themed study Bible using the HCSB translation.

Zero Cost Ebook on the Impact of Sermons on American History. Highly Rated, Too.

This book is on a subject that seems rarely touched on by books today. I was glad to see it appear as a markdown.

This ebook was free yesterday; I'm glad that it is still free today so that I can post it. I had it in the queue to post last night, but for some reason it didn't happen. Of course, I'll blame it on the computer. ha.

A City Upon a Hill. Rated 4.2 stars, but from only 8 reviews at the present moment at Amazon; rated 3.64, from 22 ratings at GoodReads. HarperCollins e-books, publisher. 338 pages. Print list price $16.99; regular digital price $12.60; Kindle price now $0.00. http://www.amazon.com/City-Upon-Hill...ty+Upon+a+Hill.

Book Description
Pivotal moments in U.S. history are indelibly marked by the sermons of the nation's greatest orators. America's Puritan founder John Winthrop preached about "a city upon a hill", a phrase echoed more than three centuries later by President Ronald Reagan in his farewell address to the nation; Abraham Lincoln's two greatest speeches have been called "sermons on the mount"; and Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" oration influenced a generation and changed history. From colonial times to the present, the sermon has motivated Americans to fight wars as well as fight for peace. Mighty speeches have called for the abolition of slavery and for the prohibition of alcohol. They have stirred conscientious objectors and demonstrators for the rights of the unborn. Sermons have provoked the mob mentality of witch hunts and blacklists, but they have also stirred activists in the women's and civil rights movements. The sermon has defined America at every step of its history, inspiring great acts of courage and comforting us in times of terror. A City Upon a Hill tells the story of these powerful words and how they shaped the destiny of a nation.

A City Upon a Hill includes the story of Robert Hunt, the first preacher to brave the dangerous sea voyage to Jamestown; Jonathan Mayhew's "most seditious sermon ever delivered," which incited Boston's Stamp Act riots in 1765; early calls for abolition and "Captain-Preacher Nat" Turner's bloody slave revolt of 1831; Henry Ward Beecher's sermon at Fort Sumter on the day of Lincoln's assassination; tent revivalist/prohibitionist Billy Sunday's "booze sermon"; the challenging words of Martin Luther King Jr., which inspired the civil rights movement; Billy Graham's moving speeches as "America's pastor" and spiritual advisor to multiple U.S. presidents; and Jerry Falwell's legacy of changing the way America does politics.

A City Upon a Hill provides a history of the United States as seen through the lens of the preached words—Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish—that inspired independence, constitutional amendments, and mili-tary victories, and also stirred our worst prejudices, selfish materialism, and stubborn divisiveness—all in the name of God.

Very Good (67%) Markdown on this Book about the Book of Revelation. Now $3.99.

67% of digital list price.

This book, by a popular author for Christians, is easy to read--it's written in a conversational style. Author Wright takes a non-premillenial (no literal thousand-year reign, no Rapture, no Tribulation, et al.) view of the book of Revelation.

Revelation for Everyone (The New Testament for Everyone). By N.T. ("Tom") Wright. Rated 4.6 stars, from 56 reviews at the present moment. Print list price $18.00; digital list price $12.00; Kindle price now $3.99. Westminster John Knox Press, publisher. 241 pages. http://www.amazon.com/Revelation-Eve...or+Everyone%29.

Book Description
In this final installment of the New Testament for Everyone series, Tom Wright explores the book of Revelation. With clear, accesible language, Wright offers us an entrance into the final book of the New Testament. While the book of Revelation has often been written off as a foretelling of doom, it is much more complex than this and has captured the imaginations of both lay and professional readers.

Tom Wright has undertaken a tremendous task: to provide guides to all the books of the New Testament, and to include in them his own translation of the entire text. Each short passage is followed by a highly readable discussion, with background information, useful explanations and suggestions, and thoughts as to how the text can be relevant to our lives today. A glossary is included at the back of the book. The series is suitable for group study, personal study, or daily devotions.
