I picked up Black Rook by Kelly Meade (Kelly Meding) that was released today. It's the start of a new trilogy.

I've got Kelsey Browning's Problems in Paradise and Sami Lee's Irrepressinle Jasmine on my list. Both are later books in series I have not yet started.

Since the contest expires on the 18th, codes should still be good for the 22nd. Inez Kelley's Should’ve Been Home Yesterday is out on the 21st (Carina releases their books on Mondays ususally). I am reading book 2 now, so at least I've started that series.

There is one early August release I will probably end up paying close to full price for (or hopefully Kobo will still have a 40% or 50% code). The rest of the releases on my August wishlist can wait for August's contest

Have you read Devon Monk or Laura Ann Gillman or CE Murphy or....crud, there's another one that came out about the same time as the Gillman Retrievers novels, but I have to look to find the name. I can seeeeee the cover, but the name's just not coming to me.

None have the same flavor as the Fever books, I'll admit, but as best as I remember, no vampires either.

Thanks! I'll look into them. The only UF I've tried is Jennifer Estep, Kitty Norville, Dresden Files and Fever. Fever is the only one I read all the way through. The others were too dark or depressing.

It's categorized as urban fantasy but it does seem to have strong romantic elements. I think Bones is just what I needed after Barrons. They are the opposite of each other. Tavia Gilbert does an amazing job narrating the story.

Scribd and Overdrive have this series. So listening and reading along for ultimate enjoyment.

Shadow Kin: A Novel of the Half-Light City by MJ Scott is one UF that I have in my Kindle library. It got good reviews on Dear Author for having strong romantic elements and a HEA. It's the first book in a series (trilogy?) Also would recommend the Deadglass series by Kira Brady.

Actually it's from a previous published book from 1996. It's a short Christmas story. Very odd in the blurb it says.

I want more of the Courtney Milan reissues with what's left of my settlement credit at Amazon. I'm annoyed that only some of the titles are Whispersync ready though. I wonder if the others will be added later.
