I was afraid somebody would say that... But you're probably right. Although given the variance in experience with hibernation issues (some EE users have problems, others don't), I'm hopeful that that means it's a settings or app problem and not a driver issue.

Be interesting to see if a factory reset does the trick.

I just did it, so will report on hibernation after some testing.

ETA: Nope, didn't fix the hibernation problem. I can hibernate once, no problem. But the second time it never wakes up. I also tried it with and without background sync on. Doesn't seem to have made a difference. My wifi connection seems more stable though.

I, too, have now taken the plunge. All of my data stayed intact (yay!), and it does seem to run faster.

Maybe my eyes have aged rapidly, but I, too, thought my articles looked a little lighter or less crisp. Let's hope the light of the new day brings the PDFs (or my eyes) back to their original state.

Oh, and for those who are interested, downloading the update took less than 5 minutes, and the multiple restarts required took less than ten more minutes.

Tomorrow, I tackle syncing with google...

Is your library in the internal memory or have you done the Transfer-to-SD operation?

My library is on the SD card.

I've been noticing that my PE now keeps apparently accurate time. Previous to Ermine, my EE and PE would lose/gain time noticeably across a few days. Maybe they finally got the network time sync going

Same here on my EE. And so far, I've seen no hibernation problems or browser crashing.

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in: I like Ermine and don't have the hibernation crashes, but the hibernation does annoy me - sometimes I am writing in the calendar journal, pause for a couple of minutes and suddenly the eDGe goes into hibernation and I have to press menu, unlock screen, go into calendar, find the day and click to open the journal again - hoping it saved where I left off... what an enourmous pain!

IS THERE A WAY TO TURN OFF OR DELAY HIBERNATION KICKING IN IN THE FIRST PLACE?? I couldn't find it in any settings.

I didn't find any controls for the EE. The PE does have some Power Saving controls in Settings.

Actually, the EE does have something of a control, indirectly. I never did find "hibernation" settings for the EE, but the EE appears to hibernate some time after going into standby/sleep. So, set your screen timeout to something high, or use the Power Control widget and tap the second icon to set the EE to never turn off the LCD. That will delay/prevent sleep and therefore hibernation.

My browser is still consistently crashing. And I have not been able to get a video from Ted.com to run in the browser. I am not seeing the error message telling me it won't run and should it use the mPlayer. Can Flash or Flash "lite" be down loaded for Opera mini 6?

I think we've all been doing a great job of vetting Ermine beta, and we've identified some key concerns and issues. Since enTourage said they'd be monitoring this forum, I was curious if anyone had received information from them on how to overcome any particular problem. Or, are they still staying silent?
