Those lines sort of look like the tensioner line from the moment arm. Going both directions, so that would make sense, with it being public transportation...

Hmmm... Perhaps they have an "incoming capture mode" that, once the trebuchet has dispatched a collection of carriages, the trebuchet stays in an "upright" mode and collects the arriving carriages giving a (relatively) gentle decleration as well as harvesting back some energy. Once the capture/dispatch deck has reached horizontal, the new arrival can then be shunted along to the next trebuchet in line. A sort of trebuchet relay. That would mean the picture shows two outgoing trains about to depart in opposite directions.

How did you know? One must be quick when disembarking, else one will be summarily returned to the point of embarking. That sounds very caninish.

Ah yes. I lengthened the "stay on" time, for mine. It's in my laundry area, and I don't fancy having to do jumping jacks half-way through unloading the dryer!

Try using the bathroom at night in 30 seconds or less without doing jumping jacks.
