I finally get to an even number at the start of my karma total, so I can look forward to some kind people making it into a palindrome, and then my karma total goes odd! Bother!

And also, if what I've heard is correct, one of the few people on Earth allowed by B.B. King to play Lucille.

I withdraw this rant. I now have an odd number at start and end of my Karma total, so palindromes are once again possible.

In one particular program's API there's an 'off-by-one' problem with the co-ordinate system, originally introduces in the first version of the software, which drew a single pixel black border around the display area. It's been in there troubling the in-house programmers and those writing third-party add-ons through eight subsequent versions of the software!

I went down to the music store today to pick up my Les Paul... but then I began to think... Do I really want to play like Les Paul or do I want to play like B.B. King? So I asked the shop guy (who already set up the Les Paul) if I could change my mind at this late date. "No problem!" says he... So he started pulling guitars off the wall and plugging them in... They had an Epiphone 'Lucille' on the rack... But they also had an Epiphone "Dot" right next to it. Some small differences, (biggest being the tunable tailpiece and the solid face on Lucille,) but as I'm only a neophyte Rock Star and need to hone my act before attracting groupies, saving $600 and getting the 'Dot' made more sense... especially as my wife will now allow me to remain in the same bedroom tonight. The 'Dot' I chose has a sunburst face rather than a solid color, like this. Much nicer... I compared the Dot, Lucille, and a Les Paul Custom, and really prefer the way the Dot felt. The Les Paul had a 'dead' feel to it. Not the sound; that was fine. Just something about the guitar itself... Lucille was nice but I really couldn't hear a difference between her and the Dot. At half the price of Lucille, the Dot came home with me... along with a Roland Loop Station pedal. This is fun... Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 09-05-2011 at 08:35 AM.

"The 17 Day Diet" sucks. ( http://www.amazon.com/17-Day-Diet-Do...5223741&sr=8-1 ). Tim lost 11 pounds here at day 15. I am 1 pound heavier than before we started. I quit. |

It's only 8 days and you lose 10 lbs. Weigh yourself before you begin. You can drink coffee, tea, (no milk,no sugar) diet sodas, and ALL YOU CAN EAT of the following, and ONLY the following... 2 days .... cheese... as much as you want, any kind. 2 days .... vegetables (cooked, raw, baked, steamed, any ways you want, but no butter or dressing... just vegetables.) 2 days ... boiled chicken breasts... nothing added... (These are 2 very difficult days...) 2 days .... fruit. Any fruit, any amount... Weigh yourself on the 9th day and grin. Although bizarre sounding, this diet actually works, and because it's only a short time experience, not unhealthy. You can get very creative on vegetable days and make some delicious meals. Cheese days are boring as are chicken days, and fruit days are a delight! 10 lbs with no difficulty. Stitchawl

Salt and pepper is fine, as is just a tad of balsamic vinegar for the veggies. I cheated once and used in on the chicken too.. Still lost 10 lbs in 8 days. This does NOT work for prolonged use. It's a one-shot deal so you can fit into your suit or dress for a wedding... Stitchawl |

Why do hairdressers always insist on putting "product" in your hair. I thought I had my hairdresser convinced she didn't need to style it and put product in because of the stormy weather today. But when she was nearly finished she told me she would style it and put some product in for free because her colleague wanted the same hairdo as I and she wanted to show it to her. That was fine by me, until I got home and found out that the product she put it was a talcum powder like substance which felt very yukkie and greasy. I had to wash my hair twice to get it all out! |
