I'm not sure, but perhaps my body has a harder time staying cool when it's fighting off an infection or cold and warm temps just adds to the discomfort.

Right! Having a fever on top of 90+ F just adds insult to injury!

Oh no! I, too, hope it's nothing serious. Unlike the chikkin, I do have fingers, and they are crossed.

Les has had his shots: DA2PPv (Distemper, Adeno2, Para, Parvo), Rabies, and also Bordetella since he hangs out here with strange animals. (It's usually called "kennel cough" but in his case it protects against "forum cough".) He is also on a Heartworm preventative since he frequently has to walk through BS.

Thank you all!
It's been quite a day. My heart and blood pressure were good so my doctor thought it could be one of two things. Either I was breathing wrong or I had a (partially) collopsed lung. Eek! So I had to go to the hospital to get X-rays made. Luckily that went all very fast and the doctor at the hospital immediately told my everything looked good. Just after 3pm my doctor called me and told me I have to make an appointment with my physiotherapist to, basically, learn breathing.

I'm now just wondering how I unlearned breathing since this all happened so suddenly. I'm also thinking of going to sign up for those Yoga classes I have been thinking of doing for so long, it might be fun to do it together with my sister.

good to hear your heart and lungs are doing well!

however... it was your wrong breathing that made you felt that bad? honestly, to me that sounds... weird.

but hey, yoga is good! I want to take yoga class with my sister too!

That's scary! I hope the breathing improves. When I am anxious, I sometimes "forget to breathe."

As to myself, both foot and state-of-mind are better today. I have to be a good girl with my medication and diet. As to that, I have rejoined WW. It sucks that I lost my lifetime status but I'll regain it. I'm doing the online thing with my smartphone. It shouldn't take long to lose because some of that 15lbs is just water retention.

Glad to hear Rumpelteazer & covingtoncat73, that you are both on the mend.

@ Rumpelteazer: Very good news that your heart & lungs are in the clear. Like CC73, I too "forget" to breath when either anxious or stressed. Hopefully it was nothing more than a "hiccup".

Continued improvement to both of you!!

Thank you all, again, for your sweet words.
According to my doctor wrong breathing can cause all kinds of strange symptoms. I know almost for sure that the pounding heart and shaky feeling in my legs this morning were due to stress about what was causing my breathing problems. I know I don't breath right, at least when I'm speaking. I've been to speech therapy because I tend to breath high when talking. I also know that I often forget to breath, mostly when I'm tired (like tonight).

It might be that I'm stressed about something and I don't know about it, although I usually get an ear infection when I'm stressed. After the good news I had less problems breathing, have to see how it goes tonight. After work tomorrow I'm going to take it easy until Tuesday. The only thing I've planned is house/dog/cat sitting until Sunday afternoon and the only thing I have to do is walk the dog 3 times a day.

My wife sometimes struggles with breathing, even though there's nothing physically wrong. It appears to be stress related, and comes and goes, so hopefully it will pass.

It just wasn't my week.
Yesterday, when I came back from the supermarket and was waiting at the traffic lights my rear tire deflated with a very loud bang.

I can do most repairs on my bike but I do not like to mess around with the wheels because of the gears and brakes. My father already offered to put on new tires but when he did that on my previous bike the brakes were never the same and this bike has a more complicated brake. So I'm going to bring my bike to the bike repair-shop nearby next week.

DEER!! Yesterday we went out to a friend's house to help her de-crap her computer. She lives out in the middle of nowhere, about an hour's drive from us. Gorgeous countryside, but we weren't the only ones who thought so. We spotted five deer and one raccoon on the way there and back. I'm just glad none of them were directly in front of the truck (except the raccoon, which we still managed to miss). I spent the whole ride home wound tighter than a coiled spring watching for deer to dart in front of us.
I know they were here first, but dang they are nerve wracking.
