Stitchawl scared me. Until I re-read the post, for a moment I thought he said he wears them while riding.

Sandals?? Is that a brand? Sandals as I know it is a generic name for all open warm weather shoes.

Tevas were my first introduction to sport sandals. The first time I saw them we were hiking for 3 days and one of our guides had them on. The rest of us had on hiking boots. I was intrigued!

I have 2 pairs of Teva Dozers but traded in their sport sandals for all things Chaco. I have plantar faciitis in my right foot and need arch support or it's just painful. Tevas don't have much arch support. I found that the only shoes I wanted to wear were my Dansko clogs that I wore to work. They have the Seal of Acceptance from the APMA.org so I went on there looking for flip flops and saw that Chacos were on there. I thought they were really cute and were looking to buy a pair anyway, so this was a bonus! Needless to say, after my first pair of their most basic and simple "Flip", I became hooked! They have the absolute most perfect and best arch support of any flat I have ever worn. Since 2006, I have bought over 20 pair; most for me, but quite a few as gifts.

My *#)@_#*@^!)@_ coworker insisted on coming to work last week just to share with everyone how sick she was - and how miserable she felt, etc.

So now I have her cursed bug - extreme sore throat, fever, aches & pains -- sort of like a mini case of flu! If my brain ever starts working again, I'm going to plan how to thank her!

I didn't realize there was such a thing as sport sandals. I thought sandals are good to wear at home. That's what I do.

If you wear without socks, I may try.

Sorry Pooh. I hate being sick, and it just seems worse when it's hot out.

Sport sandals offer more stability, traction and protection than regular sandals. They usually have a wider perimeter, extra length for your toes and sometimes will cover the toes a bit. They also have traction on the bottom.

Awww! Sorry to hear that, Poohbear.
You know the drill - plenty of sleep/rest, fluids (you do NOT want to get dehydrated), etc.

sport sandals are the awesomeness! as a lifelong Girl Scout, most of that now as an adult Scout, it is really difficult for me to endorse "sandals" as outdoor footgear (we ban them at camp [other than shower shoes] due to foot injuries). but these outdoor sandals are fantastic! as long as they have the toe protection (for camp) I think they are great!

Why is that? It's bad enough being sick when it's cold, hope you're better soon.

Just made a doctor's appointment for later this morning. Yesterday I was short of breath and when doing something that required a bit more effort my heart started pounding, it felt a bit like a very bad cold but without the cold. After an afternoon nap it became better. Last night, though, the shortness of breath returned and this morning I'm feeling a bit shaky and my hands are clammy.

For the first time in I think 15 years I'm seeing my own doctor, I usually get to go to the GP in training.

Hopefully it's nothing serious.
