Literally look through this thread. I’m not going to skim through all your posts here to give an exhaustive list.

And yes what you could have done is use the right terminology. Or at least admit to using the wrong terminology the first time you’re called out on it rather than, I think the third time especially when you also want to dissect others word choice.

Here you are. The KA1 has not had any kobopatches applied but it has had both MiniClock & NickelMenu installed. Hence the 5th Nav button and 'HH:MM - battery%' display in the bottom right corner. Neither of these affect available free space.

Each of the 5 book row containers is 22.5mm height. the 5th one measures about 24.5mm, meaning the 'free' gap between bottom book and footer menu is about 2mm.

i notice you have decided to conveniently forget the keyword i wrote which was (probably) why have you changed your mind completely/so quickly from explaining to uncle robin at your post (150) that you (knew) what i meant/was getting at?

Well, they could still list page number up next to Sort and Filter.

Persistent page number isn't a biggie to me. But there is space that it could be added to the screen.

... until someone wants to use the beta Large Print mode, when that gap doesn't exist either, if you've set the scale high enough.

I expect every individual user could find a gap where the page numbers would be convenient for them. Unfortunately, as I said before, finding somewhere to suit everyone isn't easy.

This is close enough to make no difference with what I'm seeing on the Forma, which isn't surprising given the 0.2" screen size difference. I imagine the H2O would maybe be closer to the 6" Clara but with slightly less space.

Either way, unless there's a pressing need I'll hold off getting the screenshots since Jackie was so kind as to provide one.

But try not to put much stock in these complaints, he's also whinged about Kobo since around or before the H2O v1 era, and is very obviously nitpicking over this feature to reaffirm his decision to stick with the tiled home screen version of the firmware. In my opinion there is little short of bringing that home screen back that Kobo could do that'd satisfy Koboy in terms of UI/UX, any other change he doesn't love is just icing on the cake.

I find it's much easier to treat his statements the same as many do a certain other persons claims that you must absolutely use a case for your ereader, or their railings against USB C, and how Nook has sheathed their devices in rubber.

it's amazing how quickly someone can change their mind when it suits them to do so.

i agree whole heartily your not bound to respond/reply, although silence will be judged accordingly. i suppose it all depends on if you want to be known for either telling the truth or telling lies, it's entirely up to you which one it is. once again please provide evidence/proof that i have made false claims? if you can't do that then do the decent/moral thing and withdraw?

No. Your wording was that it was a new feature that YOU had just discovered and nobody had seen before.

And for the record, it is a new feature Kobo had added in the previous version of the firmware. It is new, less than two weeks old at this point, but it had been mentioned a few times including to you in this discussion.
