Please elaborate on the "10 resets thing". It's not something which ever happened to me before.

Not knowingly, it was a vanilla PRSPlus 1.1.3 installation. I don't know enough about Linux to be mounting or binding manually.

The Starting up... message has gone and I now have "Firmware update did not complete successfully. Please try again."

What steps do I need to take before trying the flasher?

The linked updater should be able to update your reader. You shouldn't need to do anything special.

OK that worked. I have a totally vanilla 1.1.00.18040. My brain is slowly re-entering rational mode. I'm going to give the 2.0.10alpha another go.

It's a bug that that addon was at all included into x50/600 builts. Ignore the way it functions.

They are accessible via "More" (I guess you've replaced it with some other node via menu customizer?)

While apps would be the right place for them, putting something there is a big pain, code for the tab content was very poorly written.

Thanks for the explanation. I created /database/system/PRSplus/epub and it works now.

Glad the the new firmware is out...I have a 505 with PRSPlus 1.1.3...working smoothly, do you think I should upgrade to the new version? I saw the list of features, and for 505 there's nothing new, so I was wondering if it's worth triyng, considering also that this is fresh new and with some bugs still to fix/to discover....
I love my PRSPlus 1.1.3! Great work

Haven't done the new version yet but was planning to as I was under the impression that it should allow direct read from memory card rather than having to transfer to internal memory first but having re-read details, this isn't confirmed...

Most stuff available to newer readers also made it into 2.x for 505, that includes opening stuff directly from sd/ms with disabled scan. "via mount" option is gone, however.
Some actions are bugged (wrongly x50 version was taken)
localization doesn't work yet.

And it's, well, alpha. So decide yourself if you want it. Major poing of this 2.x was: a) moving to 2.x codebase b) built-in fb2toepub converter.

I just installed PRS+ for the first time and really like the new features.

But it is really hard to configure PRS+ if the reader is set to German, because there are still many long placeolder, where translations are missing. I understand, you don't want to do the translation at the moment. But could you please add a fallback to English when the specific translation is missing?

You can change the language to english.
Steps:
1) Einstellungen -> Allgemeine Einstellungen
2) Sprachmenü
3) English
4) Shutdown the Reader (completely power off)
5) Start the Reader -> now, everything is in english

Kartu, I installed the PRS + 2.0.10alpha in my prs-505., but the function Mark Books does not work (I have assigned keys on keyBindings). I think the kBookAssets.png file has no symbols (yes in prs-300).

The FB2toEpub converter works well with fb2 books sample in EbookApplication firm, but does not work (error message) with FB2 that there are in Spain (usually created with Book Designer or OOoFBtools). What software used you to create the FB2?

Is possible to recover the multimédia menu with the grouped options of Audio and Video?

setup of the alpha unfortunately does not find my PRS-650 won't get past the "reader cannot be found" screen, although everything is properly set up in Parallels, Reader connects to WinXP directly etc
