I have the folder test-startup in the home of my sony and the file startup.sh in it, but nothing happens.
If I run your file PRS+ 650_2.0.10alpha (all in one package) may I have some errors (as I have already installed boroda and 2.0.9)?

i has installed 2.0.9 before. today i updated from 2.0.09 to 2.0.10 with PRSP_650_2.0.10alpha_setup.exe. -> no problems.

Using the new firmware, I am not able to change the fonts.

the directory is the same ?

i..e put the directory Beta in the root and a user.config file pointing to the css as:

config.userCSSFile = "userStyle.css";
config.userCSSPath = "/Data/epub/";

ewandeep, I don't know what was the problem above, keep in mind that updater installs silently. You can see which version of PRS+ you have via about menu.

Regarding CSS styles, with PRS+ base flash, path and filename is different:

/database/system/PRSPlus/epub/style.css

(there should be a sample file that is referencing LRF fonts)
BEWARE style.css gets overwritten without warning by EPUBStyles plugin (if you do switching / disable custom CSS). Best way is to put it using <whatevernameyoulike_except_style>.css and switch it on via addon.

Also don't forget to remove user.config as it will change path for the addon, but not for the patched ADE executable.

Yes, sure. Actualy porkupan has all original firmwares listed. In case you have problem with it, I will assist you.

I isntalled the prs+ for a 505 and I remember it was very easy the unisntaller.
Another question: is it the spanish lenguage too ?

Yes, Spanish is there. (check "features/languages" list on the front page for what features are available on which reader)

I have some questions :
- I did use the full installer for the 950, there's no /database/system/PRSPlus/epub/ directory on my reader. Is it normal ?
- There seems to be a bug : in the the viewer parameters, there are some (new to me) parameters for disabling some S, M and L sizes, when I click on M or L, the option disappears and I can't do anything anymore on the menu. It doesn't freeze though, the Home button still works for example.
- Is the only way to access games, calc, etc by assigning them to a button ? I thought I would find those apps in the Application tab.

It's not alarming, but is still strange. Theoretically setup copies sample css that is referencing LRF fonts there.

It's a bug that that addon was at all included into x50/600 builts. Ignore the way it functions.

They are accessible via "More" (I guess you've replaced it with some other node via menu customizer?)

While apps would be the right place for them, putting something there is a big pain, code for the tab content was very poorly written.

I figured out the menu thing, on my reader it doesn't change until I've connected it to the USB cable. I've tried turning it off and back on, and soft reset, but neither of those will change the menu, only when plugged into the USB cable. Is that normal?

And I still can't get different css styles to appear to change the fonts. When I click on Disable, it just pops back to Disabled, it doesn't list the .css files that are in the epub directory. I'm sure I'm missing something stupidly simple.

I also noticed that since the initial install, it's no longer taking screenshots. They were working fine and being placed in the sshots and numbered as screen100.jpg, etc. Now there's only a thumbnail taken and placed in individual folders in database\thumbnail\2011-03-12.jpg\main_thumbnail.jpg. There are no real screenshots anywhere anymore. And yes, I have at least 3/4 of the reader still free, I did check that.

I first installed Baroda 1.05K, then this PRS Installer, and finally PRS+ 2.0.09 for the 350. For changing the css styles for different fonts, I did what's under the FAQ section in the first post in this thread.

Any help would be appreciated, I do love the options that Baroda and PRS+ add to the reader.

Edit: I did find the screenshots in the root directory, not in the sshots directory where they were at first though.

@kartu, Please help!!

I have attempted to update my PRS-505 with the new PRSP_505_2.0.10alpha_Installer but it failed partway through with the message shown in the attached screencap.

Before I started the PRS505 had a good working version of PRSPlus 1.1.3 (unchanged for months). I also made sure it was fully charged before I started.

The 505 is currently stuck in boot-up mode (screen says Starting up...) and I don't know where to go from here. I can't switch it off and the resets I have tried haven't been successful.
