No gifts yet, but a new batch of oranges. Sadly, the Valencia style are done, and these are early season navels. Not much flavour, and not very sweet.

Ah, well, better than bought OJ even so.

Also, my morning Peet's coffee. Still some Holiday Blend in it, but by tomorrow it will be all Major Dickason's.

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas... almost. OK, so I'm rushing it. Sue me. I like Christmas. I can listen to "The Little Drummer Boy" over and over, especially when it's being sung by 'Celtic Woman!'

Good morning, all. Ahmad English Breakfast tea in my cup today... a quiet Saturday morning, cloudy skies (50% chance of rain) and a bit cold. No big plans today, and maybe a good day to stay in a read.

Any 'mikans' in your market yet? They have just come into season here and I have been eating 2-3 every day!

Sadly, no not yet. (They're known as Satsumas here.) I suspect I may not get them here in any quantity, though we sometimes do get a few. But they'd certainly be a better option than the grim little navels I just got a case of.

Earl Grey tea with milk and sugar. Who else is waiting for the "Good" eggnog at the stores? All they have right now is the preserved stuff that is there all year

Think of it as a training process.
You start with a portrait on your night table, Then you put up a poster of a nice looking guy on the wall. Then you get yourself an inflatable reproduction, like an augmented reality sculpture and you have it sitting on a chair for few days. At first dressed up as a financial advisor and then, in small steps you make it more comfortable ... Then you move it on the bed during the day, sitting up amongst your 17th century porcelain dolls. After a bit of this and that you sleep with it. And finally you invite the real one to share the temperature exchange. Dad will not even notice. Or, better, he might get the message.
