Depends on where you're staying. The neighbourood I was staying in this week was terrible, I don't think I ever felt so unsafe walking around Paris!

My presentation is over and done with. Of course it went well The conference was very interesting. I had a second interview for the new job yesterday, that went well too. They told me that they were going to call me back in the week of the 12th december, but I had a phone call from them just now. I get to go on a third and final interview where I have to give a small presentation. Peanuts now that I did the International conference

We are going toward the second Sunday of the Advent. Tender hearts, good thoughts, Yule time getting there for us. Gifts, yeah gifts.

She is short of 3 months and a half to be 5 and she is just a riot. On Friday is BigGirl picking her up at school. Now they are ice skating: I got a preliminary report that speaks of enthusiasm .

I am ready with a a Provençal style dish of snappers.
Butter the thing that will go in the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes. Sorry folks, it is centigrades this side of the globe.
Chop as finelly as you can 2 scallions and that's how it looks

Put the fillets of snappers on it, Salt and pepper. White pepper, you slob.

I prepared a raw coulis of little tomatoes, just a bit of olive oil and my friend the stick blender. There it is with a couple of star anises. The Provençal touch.

The gifts.
I was somewhere North of here, but I did not forget to load up for the girls. The big one got a big jug of CK1, that somehow passed through the security check. Maybe because forgetting my ipod in the shirt pocket forced the fine lady to search me bodily, for a while. She just said, stay put. Rather enjoyable, BTW. Nah. Just a nuissance. But I really forgot.

Oh yeah. I forgot. All this listening to Andras Schiff playing Haydn in my new bluetooth head set (39 euros) that is my gift for the 2nd Sunday of Advent. The gift of the first I will not reveal ever to anybody. But it was very very nice. The nicest.
