Thanks for the supportive comments, everybody. Although I think that nobody wins when you have to get ugly like that, I didn't feel like I had a choice. I just hate that we will still have to go in there as usual, next week, to have her blood tested by this same nurse. I just plan to carry on as if nothing has happened, and hopefully she will be professional enough to do the same.

Few things are more effective in public when you have to deal with a hostile or resentful person than your being extremely cheerfully polite! It gives them nothing to respond to in an ugly manner, and highlights their own bad behavior.

I firmly agree with that. That's one reason I hate that I had to get down in the gutter today. Next week, though, I hope I can do better.

Did you receive a private communication from KK? I see absolutely nothing in the referenced posts that anyone could be upset about. Perhaps you have a private sore spot that I don't know about? (I know, you weren't complaining to me. I'm just confused)

Every morning, and of course at my age, several times during the night, I have to climb my way back to vertical. I'm NOT a happy camper. It's almost enough to make me give up drinking tea!

Betty, EVERYBODY wins when someone champions their needs. This nurse was NOT being helpful; she was being harmful. Perhaps because of your determined stance a lot of people will win in the future. Fighting is never fun, but it's often necessary. I, for one, applaud you!

Nohmi, I've read every comment twice since your original "Karma worthy" comment, and I don't think kk has said anything out of the way. My personal opinion is that you have taken offense where none was intended. I think you've simply misunderstood her motives in posting what was intended to be light-hearted, friendly banter.

I can't find a single post that seems the least bit offensive. Even when looking into other threads. Is it possible there has been some miss-communication? Crossed wires where there was no intent to harm?

I hate the thought of you two being at odds.

If you refer to "thanks for the karma comment!" I think that means exactly what it says, and is not intended as sarcasm. Those karma numbers mean absolutely nothing, and KK and you both know that. So she meant "thanks for saying you liked it".

{ Here ... have a super sized Zany Carter Deluxe. Both of you. Marc, silvousplais? (see that's what I hate about French ... they throw in too many extra letters that they didn't use, so I haven't a HOPE of spelling that right. }
