the fact you disagree with what i said means that you (one person) believe i'm wrong. in my experience on this forum it's generally only those who disagree with me that comment. that doesn't mean for a (fact) that i'm in the minority. definition of assert=state a fact or belief confidently and forcefully. please point me to the part of my post that was made forcefully? best wishes koboy ![]() Last edited by koboy; 08-23-2020 at 04:03 PM. |

You said you’d make the case that people who were not lamenting a feature removal were probably not using it. As you didn’t feel the need to back this case you were making one is free to conclude you were so confident in your claim that you didn’t feel examples to support your case were needed. Which would satisfy the strong manner aspect for forcefully. And thus you asserted a view. |

To be fair, many of your posts do tend to be worded in a way which invites disagreement.

Also way to ignore that the point of my post wasn't centered around the "probably", but that you felt no need to give any evidence to support what you were stating, thus taking it as a given. It's alright, I know you just want to try and prove to yourself that the older firmware is the best. |

Yes, this is strong evidence that you're in a majority by sticking with the older firmware. I see now why you didn't provide anything to support your opinion about people who don't miss a feature using it. |

You’re still asserting that they probably didn’t as a fact. The probability of them not using it much/at all being greater than them using it moderately to significantly. Since you want to quibble over word usage so much, one would think you’d know the difference between “making a case” vs stating an opinion. |

Never mind that the advice given to you had nothing to do with Kobo hardware or software. I’ll just take that as more evidence that you’re content to keep your head in the sand. |

i'm not the first person nor will i be the last who as missed reading a comment/post on here. i admit that at first what David (who you refer to) wrote in his reply to me i didn't pick up on what he meant straight away. when i did i was surprised he thought i was making a claim for some new knowledge that had just being giving to me, that certainly was not my intention. even though i disagreed with him on how it read i amended my initial edit accordingly. please point me to my claims that i have made that are false and my history of not reading comments fully? edit. what i could/should have done regarding my comment at post 118 is it would have been better if i'd have put (in my opinion) rather than i'd make the case. that's a miswording/mistake that i certainly won't make again in the future. best wishes koboy ![]() Last edited by koboy; 08-23-2020 at 08:32 PM. |

As a courtesy, could you post a picture of what My Books looks like on a KA1? I've never seen one in person and images online tend to mostly show show the homescreen. Perhaps naively, I'd assumed that the Aura ONE looked mostly like a blown up version of the Clara. When I do see other screens, like settings for instance, that is what it tends to look like.
