I wouldn't mind a touchscreen on a Kindle if it was a good as the iPad touchscreen, but I'm not too pleased with the one on my PSR-600, although for all I know the newer versions may be better.

Agreed. I had the 900 for a while (til the U.S. Postal Service lost it) and I wasn't happy with it's touchscreen at all. I've gotten used to using the DroidX and now the Xoom more and more and I want all screens to be touch screens.

I'm also always reaching for the rewind control for the car radio to replay some song name etc... I want it to work like a Tivo!

It's jail house fashion brought to the streets. In jail they aren't allowed to have belts, so they often have falling pants. I guess they liked jail so much that they want to remember the good times that they had there.

It's sad to see teenagers w/ their pants around their thighs!! How is it possible for fitted pants AND baggy thigh pants to be "fashionable" at the same time?

The 650's are super responsive. I don't have my iPad yet, but it's as responsive as my Droid X, or any LCD touchscreen. The refresh rate is still slower, but the responsiveness is excellent.

when sitting on a windows machine I still keep forgetting ctrl-c since under linux it's enough to mark text.
then of course i try midmousebutton to paste...
yeah sometimes I'd need a mirror for facepalms

At my former job we had a kid who wore his pants down low. It became a conspiracy amongst us "older" ladies to see who could depants him first on a given shift. It never stopped him. We gave him KK's "cowboys are sexy" speech. Never moved him. He still wears them that way. He came in as a customer the other day and I threatened him with it again, causing my cashier's jaw to drop (she had no way of knowing I knew the kid and apparently thought I'd talk that way to a complete stranger...).

Glad to hear it. I thought the newer generation would be better, because they use one less layer of material in the screen (for clearer and sharper reading).

Welp. Most of my reading at the moment is on the Kindle and the Xoom.

I kinda switch back and forth between the Sony and the Kindle...

I use the Kindle for general reading, and the iPad for PDFs & comic books graphic novels.

For my work in the Archives I have this magnetic card, with which I can open all the doors over there. This last week I was standing in front of the elevator ( with normal buttons), waving my card and muttering when that elevator didn't come.
And I tap at least once a day on the screen of my Kindle, to enlarge the letters.

So, I started using my phone as my mp3 player, because even on the very basic hands free sets it mutes the music and rings in my ear. But, if I'm doing dishes or something and a song comes on that I want to skip, I have to dry my hands, pull the phone out of the pouch, unlock it,, skip the song, relock the phone screen and put it back in the pouch. I want to be able to just dry one hand and push a button. Thanks for the glowing review - if it turns out Chris doesn't already have something that does this, I'll probaby be getting one soon! This is also why I don't want noise cancelling headphones, I need to be able to hear other things besides the music, like someone at the door.

Shel, I just got the BT3030 in the mail today and using it w/ my Droid X as I type this. One cool thing that I hadnt' noticed before is that the FWD/RWD/Pause/Play buttons all work on Pandora as well!

I'm not so sure if the clip part is going to work out, but the lanyard works great. It's so light, I can barely feel it around my neck and it does move around a lot. So far, I'm liking it. Now I'll have to check the range and see if it's better than my old Jabra, which was older BT technology; 1.2 I believe.

Yep!! I find myself starting to reach for the radio occasionally to rewind it or pause it. I know NPR has some sort of device that, when pressed, will take a timestamp, and then you plug it into your computer it will connect to NPR and let you listen to the program you "marked" from the time you marked it.

Thanks for the update! I have yet to order mine, it's been a hectic week and weekend (and then I got and still have bronchitis).
I did get the Droid X though, but need to add a strip of velcro to my Golla pouch so it will close - the Droid is taller than my Palm Pre Plus was, LOL. Did you buy a new one, or did you use eBay?

Sorry to hear about the bronchitis. I had it in Dec. It took a month to go away. I took a chance and ordered it on ebay from a seller in Hong Kong for $22. He had a 99.8% rating and the .2% seemed like it was mostly from people complaining that it took too long to deliver, as if they didn't realise that they ordered it from the other side of the world. Duh! I got mine in less than 2 weeks, and he had a tracking number so I tracked it right through customs.

I don't know why I'm always so hesitant to buy stuff from China via ebay. The few times I had, they were all good experiences. After all, the stuff is made there; it should be cheaper!
