Now when ever I see one of these kids I want to help pull their pants up as well I don't actually do it, sheesh that could be dangerous

I always have an overwhelming urge to go up and pull their pants all the way down.

I can do a very good Nanny Ogg when I want to. I frequently sidle up to these kids and nicely point out, "Honey, do you need me to hold that ipod/ballcap/whatever they have in their hands while you fix your pants?" never if they arent alone, because I dont want to embarrass them. Just being a good-hearted motherly type offering to help. It works quite often. Follow it up a "There, that's nice. Do you want me to see if I can buy you a belt in there?" Because it is always at a mall.

ANNOUNCEMENT: I will gladly get any young man at the mall a belt if you will only pull up your pants.

Guy at work has Kindle, I've got a Kobo. This meant a side-by-side was possible, as we had the both of them on hand. He was impressed by my Kobo's screen- I thought his Kindle's was okay, and it loaded a little faster (which is nice), but didn't have quite the same clarity of contrast. Heavier, too- which was a surprise. I hadn't expected that.

They're both really nice devices, but as with any electronic device, they both have their pros & cons.

I love my Sony Reader, I love the touch screen that lets me just tap a word I don't know to look it up. I'm really tired however of having to stop myself from tapping on words on the pages of the occasional pBook to look them up in the dictionary the way I do with my reader. I've actually gotten so far as to have finger hovering over the page aiming for the word before I say "Wait a minute, you idiot."

When I was in... middle school? One of my fellow classmates thought he was so cool wearing his pants down low. One day at recess he was playing basketball, he jumped for it and thwump! Pants fell down, superman underwear on display.

I find myself trying to double-tap words in my mind. For instance when someone on the radio uses a word and I don't think it's quite right so I'll just tap it to double check... oh. Darn.
