More specifically, you can find the version for the H2O, here. The one linked above will get you to the thread for the patch, but the version in the first post is for older models with a dedicated button for the front light, which the H2O lacks. Kobo is reported to be adding Overdrive support - they're both owned by Rakuten so this seems a no-brainer - but I don't know whether it'll be in this new release or another future one.

That's the obvious new function and was mentioned by the OverDrive CEO (or some other bigwig there). But, don't hold your breath for it. I don't know what murg's definition of "soon" is, but I don't expect to see it within a month.

Ah, I know that problem. I'm sure that if I broke and replaced my Glo HD that Kobo would release a new device the next week.

The Overdrive CEO said 'relatively soon' in his interview, which was earlier this month. What that means and how it falls in with Kobos firmware releases is anyone's guess.

I'm not going to get my hopes up for the next firmware to have the support in it. Kobo has, as I've remarked in other threads, a history of releasing a lot more firmware updates than other companies. Except maybe Adobe Flash Player which seems to need to update whenever you want to use it.

In software terms 'relatively soon' means in the next year. 'Soon' means in the next few months. 'We're releasing it next week' means that it will be released in about a month's time.

'In the foreseeable future' means that we haven't even started on it, but our competition is releasing something 'real soon now'.

I have a N647 that isn't working. Keeps saying new software is available and wont upload books. Anyone have the link to the firmware? I just upload the image to a SD?? Cheers!
