Norton ticks me off. That dog eats nearly as much as I do and never gains an ounce. I've seen other 3 1/2 year pugs that are fat and lazy. Not Norton. He couldn't stay still to save his life. That dog is hyper, but happy.
He always freaks out when a visitor arrives and scrambles to find one of his toys in the hopes they'll play with him. And he always goes crazy when I return from a long trip, such as when I take out the garbage or check the mailbox. Yeah, I love him! Last edited by WT Sharpe; 02-07-2011 at 02:07 AM. |

![]() Going low on satfat foods isn't all that bad, though it takes a willingness to learn new recipes (and not just from the "Healthy Heart" cookbook - there's a lot of recipes in high-end cookbooks that are both delicious and good for you) and find your fresh foods. Good for you avoiding the pills. The Loved One got put on those when we got up here (his cholesterol level hadn't changed - the measure of what was acceptable had ![]() You can do it, Sneaky. I'm losing it (weight) at the moment, and my blood pressure is going down, along with The Loved One's, and we can all help each other do it. Cheers, Marc |

![]() My EKG was normal. My chest x-ray was normal. My respiratory test was perfect, blood flow to extremities was normal, lab specimen tests were all negative, and every single blood test EXCEPT the ones for cholesterol were all in the normal range. If I'm so fricken healthy, why do I need to worry about cholesterol?!? ![]() Stitchawl |

It makes sense if you put 'is still' before the doctors findings. You don't know 'where' (that is: completely normal or barely normal) you are in that 'normal' or 'perfect' range. ![]() About the cholesterol; these days, the doctors themselves aren't too sure about the effects on arteries. But if a high cholesterol runs into your family, or if a lot of your relatives suffer from cardiac troubles, I would strongly consider a healthy life-stile. Stichawl: your doctor wants you to be his/her patient for a long time. ![]() Last edited by desertblues; 02-07-2011 at 06:21 AM. |

Oh, well, that's my minor rant. Maybe I'm just bummed because I dropped my hat somewhere at Union Station, and apparently no one behind me saw fit to call out, or pick up the hat and bring it to me. Thank you, fellow Washingtonians. |

I updated my PC program for connection with my smartphone and installing apps. Since the update it always connects to the internet and downloads the app (deleting the downloaded one form my harddrive) when installing. If the app is moved, or there is no internet, or something else: well, it gets removed from the list and my copy is deleted.
I hope it's just a bug I have and am currently downloading the newest version of the software (a few build up above the update) in hope it will get better. I am also pissed about cutting some of the functions (like saving SMS to the comp) or scattering them around and removing the status fields, where you could see what happens now. Honestly, I've never seen worse update of anything in my life. Oh yeah, and the support suggested, that my files were broken. ALL of the 124 apps I have downloaded... To finish up - I can't actively use the old version, because the internet shop won't support it anymore. It demands the update... /rant over |
