Yes, please bench Torres. He's a good player but he seems to be living hard times and they have a negative effect on his performance at this time.

But then again, have we all been lured into thinking that Spain is feeble and unable to attain the Cup? What a brilliant strategy it would be... Imagine the fear their opponents will feel when the powers of España are released!

Congrats to Spain..... Loved watching Germany Thrash Argentina.... Maradona just ate some of his own words.... Adios Maradona....Love him or hate him he makes news...

Germany's Passing was Superb....best side I have seen yet...

Brazil.... Not as good as some of the the sides they have put on the pitch in the last 15 years... GO Orange!

I just watched today my recording of the Argentina/Germany match.
Argentine defense suffered from the same ailments I'd spotted in the match with Nigeria. Lack of speed. Perfect fodder for the blitz attacks by Germany.
What fascinated me with the Germans was the way they defended as a whole and clamped down on ANY opposing possession. Even Klose ran back to tackle. I just wish he'd stop doing it from behind though. It gives a bad image to the rest of such a deserving team.
I'll have to repeat again that the newer blood in the team is outstanding!
They deserve this Cup... Again.

If this guy is for real (there's always doubt on that, naturally), it's rather scary that such people are walking around! They should be locked up and the key thrown away... (I mean, he talked about Mexicans in Uruguay, or did I not understand him correctly?)

He forgot to say softball, that starts with the same letter as soccer and sodomy!
Then he says that football is a real sport because they use all the body. Maybe they do but the sport's got the wrong name. It should be called armball...
I do agree though that some keepers don't use their arms...

Guys like that should be taken from their environment and put in a foreign zoo, just to see how they'd cope...

I loved some of his logic; soccer starts with 'S', as does sodomy, therefore soccer is bad. Wow, football starts with 'F', as does fellatio; basketball and baseball start with 'B', as does buggery. What does that tell us, I wonder (nothing at all would be my guess)

I do think that he could be on to something though when he says that if you chopped your arms off you would be the best footballer in the world. I'm just off to give Fabio Capello a call

Surprises and more surprises. Some emotions too. It has not been difficult to swallow the Italian exit. The great satisfaction of seeing Dr. Felipe and Mr. Melo hang himself on the door handle. It will be more difficult for Juventus to recover the moneys they spent for him, but it's their money.

I am sorry for my English friends but that 2nd goal was due since 1966 when ... No doubt that the match would have been very different. Then they lost the steam and the wunder boys did again their magic!

The good news. Uruguay finally on the levels of its glorious tradition. Pour Ghana, they lost because of emotions. Nice, nice team they had.

And then the bidet feet just made it over Los Paraguayos.

It could be a very nice final, very nice. I am not saying it to avoid black magic kick backs. But my heart is more with 3 colors then just one or two.
