This is you? The person who uses a cane and has trouble going down stairs is out and about on a crazy fast long distance bike ride.

I hate to admit it, but I love it when folks in the neighborhood set off fireworks. My wife and I go out to watch. Sure, it's dangerous, and I wouldn't do it, but I'm not about to call the police; I'm having too much fun watching. I just wish they'd be more careful, especially since the vegetation is so dry from the lack of rain recently.

A couple of nights ago some of the neighbors set off a specular display rivaling the professionals. I'm surprised they didn't catch the trees on fire. Then last night someone fired off some kind of flares that floated through the neighborhood in a triangular formation. I told the wife not to be surprised if someone calls in a UFO report. I'm surprised that none of this activity has brought the police around, but I'm not complaining as long as our house doesn't get burned down.

Cycling is easy on an ankle because there is less stress on it than walking. I have the rest of my body to train, my right calf and thigh have melted away.
Cycling also helps my breathing to come back when I push the limits.

Feeling better after my week off. Not 100%, though. Think I'll go back to doctor and beat him over the head Vivien-style (Young Ones) till he does something vaguely useful, like ordering blood tests.
