I've been noticing this more frequently lately, too. (Because I've been reading more on my iLiad, not, I think, because it is occurring more frequently.) I agree, the behavior is consistent with a software problem. I'm seeing it in both iPDF and FBReader, though, so I think it's something at the OS level.

Here's another interesting bug: when I'm using the screen keyboard, if I tap a character twice, I'm likely to get three of them on the screen. I especially notice this with periods, when I'm cd'ing around in mxvrt, but it shows up in other places, too. I also sometimes get a delay before a character shows up, so I think the tap didn't register, so I tap again-- and get two (or three) characters. I think there's a polling problem at the OS level.

The three character thing is a known bug.

And the 5 page turn probably comes from a busy preocessing queue. The flip gets noticed, then the release gets noticed, but because the release message gets send late to the busy processor, the software assumes its a long press. But thats just my assumption.

Has it been a bug all along? I must have missed it earlier....

It doesn't happen for me under MobiPocket Reader at all.

Correction: ONCE it happened consistently, but I rebooted the machine and it went away, and hasn't recurred. I wonder if it's dependent upon the application at all? Anyone had the problem with the Mobi Reader?

For me it only happened when using Mobipocket reader so I already assumed it was their software. With PDF's (made in BD) on earlier firmware versions I never had this problem. I was already thinking of converting the mobi book to pdf, but after reading about all the other problems people are having I don't think it will matter much.
