Sam I already told you how much I enjoyed Metagame. With more editing going on it seems like it's still a work in progress. So I guess the free version was a test run to have readers critique it. I agree with an earlier reply that more could have been said to explain how the world got to that point. Looking forward to what ever you do next.

Cool. The current freebie has already been edited quite a bit and I considered it "done". It's just that the pros are showing up now, and so the new version will be that much better.

As far as the history goes, I was actually thinking of doing a prequel before the sequel because I'd like to flesh out how that world came about. There are some hints in the book, but I could easily create another complete book telling the story. Plus readers would dig it because it would be more solidly based in our current time. The world of MetaGame is a few generations out.

It is such crap that I have to use iBooks to get the book. Why not just use iTunes?

I still remember reading the book when you had it for the Kindle (though I had to purchase it for a whole $0.80) and if I remember right you were either working on a sequel or at least had the outline for the sequel...

This indicates that the book does not have its language set to "English" in its metadata. Look at the OPF file inside the ePub - it should say:

<dc:language>en</dc:language>

If you've converted it with a non-current version of Calibre, it probably says:

<dc:language>UND</dc:language>

and that prevents the dictionary from working.

I'm still plugging away at the fantasy book. However, now that AmazonEncore is deep editting MetaGame, I've actually been spending a lot of time re-writing.

Anyway, I'm actually thinking of a prequel rather than a sequel. We'll see...

Good to know, thanks Harry. Smashwords has their own converter, but perhaps I can crack it open and manually change it.
