I don't think age has anything to do with it. (I'm 31) Just finished Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan. Really enjoyed it and am reading the second in the series featuring the Villian hero Takeshi Kovacs. Thanks for the great recommendation MR members! Glad to know it isn't just me! I found it boring and downloaded "61 Hours" a few days later. "61 Hours" moves at a much quicker pace.

Because of the hype and 'some' positive reviews here, Harry, I gave *The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo* 130 pages before I was so bored to tears, I tossed it aside. That's very rare for me. Quite honestly, had this come to my little publishing house as a manuscript submission, I'd have rejected after a chapter. Maybe, though, that's why we're still a 'little' publishing house. I guess there must be something in this trilogy judging from rave reviews elsewhere. Horses for courses -- just not one that grabs me by the short and curlies. And if an author hasn't done that within 130 pages, I reckon he's not doing his job. Hoots. Neil |

Just finished Einstein's Cosmos by Michael Kaku and what an excellent read! Kaku does a masterful job blending Einstein's science with his life story. This book gives you an superb insight into both Einstein the Scientist and Einstein the man. And, thanks to Kaku's ability to describe very complex principles of physics in understandable terms I now have a much better understanding of Einstein's work.
